My heart hurts for you 😥 I lost my mom in 2012 & I'd love to tell you that it will get easier unfortunately it don't we just learn how to deal with it differently through the years or well that's at least thats what I think! I'm really sorry that you have to feel this Horrible pain I wish no one had to feel what it feels like... & I pray hopefully that you can find a little peace knowing she's definitely in a better place then we are that's what I truly believe🤗 all you can do now is make her proud of you ❤ I seriously love this quote... It has been said, "A person dies twice: once when they take their final breath, and later, the last time their name is spoken." Just Talk about her all the time any chance you get so much that even people that didn't get to meet her while she was alive still feels like they knew her just Because of how vividly you talked about her❤💯👌🏻

My dad passed away January 2024 after an 8 year battle with Alzheimer's. I haven't been able to cry yet it's so painful. This song brings tears to my eyes. Miss him so much. This is such a beautiful song.

I’m the father of three little girls. This song hits me so hard. I lost one of my little girls last year. I would give anything to be able to have her now. My heart goes out to you. No parent should have to experience the loss of a child. My son is on hospice and even though this song is for a daughter it tugged at my heart strings because he is my world. Praying that God gives you and your family peace and strength to endure this.

I don't share blood with my Dad but you'd never be able to tell with how strong our bond is!! When I was 17, my Mom was dying and they hadn't been together to long. Maybe two years.... I'd been so used to being let down by the men in my life that I panicked and got ready to keep my brothers and I together.... As we watched life flight take my Mama away, Dad looked at my and said, "YOU ARE MY KIDS AND NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, I WILL NOT ABANDON YOU!" It was the first and only time he ever raised his voice at me.... I'm thrilled to announce that my Mama made it and they've been together 25 years!!

I am a foster child in the system and i had an old DCS case-worker who she played this song to me, when i learned why my heart mealted. She saw me as her DAUGHTER… i called her mom because my real mom neglected me and refused to be a part of my life. So my case-worker took her place. She held me when i cried, we sang together to our favorite songs in the car together, ate lunch and dinner together when possible, and she did so much for me… when i hear this song it makes me think about her… she was taken out of my life so painfully and i miss her so much. Lost my dad almost 3 years ago in July and I feel the same way 😢

I love this song. My dad is gone. But he would be so happy to see me so happy Chris. So happy and proud. I think he would love you too.

I lost my daddy 12/25/2014, yet the pain is still so real. This song is absolutely beautiful and just broke my heart.

This song HIT me right in the chest. I’ve had my heart broken by someone I wanted to marry and this song hit me so hard emotionally. 😭♥️♥️

This is the song my daughter just sent to me because i asked her to choose the father/daughter dance song for my wedding with her soon to be step father. Her real Dad passed away when she was young,but my fiance stepped up years after when he didn't have to. And she thinks the world of him. If you ask her, he's not her step dad. He's just her Daddy. And i love that she loves him so much. So when i asked her to choose a song,she's spent over a week thinking it over and listening to music. And she just sent me this and y'all I'm in tears. Its so beautiful. I wish my Dad could be at my wedding to dance with me to this. But unfortunately my Dad passed away in 2010 and I'm not lucky enough to have such an amazing stepdad like my daughter has. Thank you for this song. Its absolutely beautiful and i can't stop crying. You know you're an amazing artist when you can make your listeners feel every word you sing straight in their soul.
