    Watched this video couple days ago & finally got around to making one, mine was a tad bigger & made from a pallet board (3.5 inches square or about 90 mm) Showed it to my wife & she had a great idea to make an even bigger one &turn it into a picture frame, I guess a mirror would be cool too. Thanks for the inspiration, I don't always comment but enoy every video...THANK YOU

    LOVELY! I've tried to carve pendants, unsuccessfully, I might add. Your patter will be very helpful in my next attempt. Thank you Matt; the pace and the instructions are superb (for me). Best wishes form the other side of the globe.

    Hey Paul, I think the sanding and finishing are what really make a pendant stand out. 😊🍻

    Just starting out but really liking your stuff mate. Gives me an idea to try that style but make it an ouroboros. Oh also how long to you carve for at a time Matt? When should I be taking breaks?

  • @MattCarves

    @MattCarves

    3 ай бұрын

    I tend to carve for 4 hours with breaks every hour. Probably 2hrs with breaks every half hour for new carvers. And just see if your sore or not.

    Very nice work. Where do you generally get your wood for this type of carving as well as other pieces you have done. Thanks in advance

  • @MattCarves

    I generally get my wood from my father, who was a wood worker, and also my friend who is a wood artist. But also old Mahogany headboards from second hand shops. And asking furniture making factories for offcuts.
