Your videos are absurdly lengthy. Before you think this is a negative comment, I want to let you know that this content is immensely informative, relaxing and entertaining. My two older sons have watched a few videos with me and are just beginning to understand why you consider some of them “huge chunkers”, when they’re obviously half the size of a grain of rice. I get it, and they’re starting to get it. You’re teaching them in a way I couldn’t. Keep up the great work-you have me literally looking for plots to purchase just for this.

I noticed your struggling to keep rocks out of your suction nozzle. Have you considered putting grizzly bars that will only allow a certain size to pass through your nozzle... by doing this you will have less to clean up in your box.

You have a pretty good setup started. It looks like you need to turn your pump up, not enough water flow. Then maybe drop the angle of your lower box to move more water. It seems to be to slow and your not moving enough material off the end. Also, maybe do an extra clean out when it gets full. It's all about getting in the "zone" and figuring it out. Which I think is the fun part, watching your creation come to life. Good luck friend and I look forward to your next video. 😎

Oh and come out to California. I've got 11 acres right on a small river in Coarsegold CA. Yes the town is named that for that reason. There's gold and it's coarse. Property has never been dredged only hand dug and panned. Last year my dad dug down about 16 inches in a random spot just off the river bank and pulled out a nugget that weighed right at 17.5 grams. My best day panning for about 6 hours I pulled 67 grams. There's mines that go deep into the hillside all over the surrounding properties. If you are interested in coming out and wanna film it we could team up and I'll make you a 10% royalty deal and you can have at it.

Mate I would love to gold hunt. I live in Scotland UK, it has some of the purest gold in the world. But, although you can hobby pan here, you need the land owner and the governments permission to take the gold way with you. Here's the killer blow... the government refuses to give permission. The closest I've come to panning is when I was a young lad, I went camping and used a plastic picnic plate to pan with(not that I had any idea how to pan properly). I must of messed around for about 10 minutes and i found 2 grains of gold. Well because it was so small and I thought I would never take it up as a hobby at the time, I didn't bother keeping it. I would love to go back now and try it properly. The place was half way down a river, up the highlands, that fed a loch(Lake). It has all the telltail signs, that I've been seeing in all these gold hunting videos lately, of being a good place to look. Maybe one day, I'll go back and give it a try. Anyway love the videos mate. Thanks for inspiring people like myself to think about trying gold hunting.

Cape Disappointment (The beach at the mouth of the Columbia River that splits Washington and Oregon. Where a five gallon bucket of sand weighs almost 100lbs because of the black sand content and gold, sometimes 2 grams of gold per bucket) 4. British Columbia. Not in any specific order.

I think if you get rid of that Hydro Force nozzle and just have a regular straight nozzle you'd have better suction and be able to move more dirt. Instead of the hydro Force nozzle just hook up a garden hose to your pump instead of the long white hose coming up to the nozzle. They make another piece I don't know what it's called but it attaches to the input of your sluice where your big green hose hooks on and then your green hose hooks onto it. My mother recently passed away and I now have her to inch Keene dredge and that's how it is hooked up and it works best that way. The only problem with having it hooked up that way is that the end of your green hose has to stay under the water at all times as to not suck up air.

A lot of work and expense of tools to end up with maybe $30 worth of gold. Apparently, someone in Ohio found a nugget that was like 40 lbs. a couple weeks ago. This midwest area (I'm in Indiana) really isn't known for having anything other than glacial gold. So...I guess it's exciting to find any gold at all ! I've built a couple sluice boxes...hoping to put them to use if I could only find an area where there is reliable gold found. I've panned locally and haven't even found a flake yet...but tons of black sand (magnetite). Heck, I'd do better business by reselling the golf balls I've found in the streams !! :D

@@megapint1626 I just watched the video of it...as if the "nugget" was in a plastic 5 gallon bucket. It would appear as if the nugget would have taken up at the very least 20 percent of the area in that bucket. If water is around 8 pounds per gallon...and the "gold" took up about 1 gallon of the area of the bucket, then the gold should have weighed 8 pounds times 19.3 (gold is that much heavier than water / specific gravity), the total weight of that size solid nugget of gold would have been not 40 pounds, but 154.4 pounds. So...you're right to call "fake".

Old Boy Adventures haha! Nailed it. He does all kinds of treasure hunting including mushrooms. So he doesn’t have one particular area of interest like most channels. He is getting his advanced certification for SCUBA so soon he will have lots of underwater videos of his hunting. Should keep it interesting. Thanks again!
