I'm the same! I anthropomorphise everything, and then worry about hurting its feelings. To be fair we're practically trained to do it as kids, when every children's book is about a sad book that no one gets out of the library, or a sad apple that's the last one left on the tree, etc. We just never grew out of it I guess!

No you’re not silly for keeping stuff. I do it too. In fact this year my 95 year old grandfather passed and cleaning his house out was so hard… I came home with so much stuff and I use it in my studio now.

seems like yesterday you just started your art journey, where I saw your first video. now you started a new chapter of your life. once again, thank you for making such inspiring videos to make art again. oh, I can totally relate on being a pack rat by the way. I accumulated so much art supplies over the years, sketchbooks especially, it's not even funny. And as always keep doing what you are doing. It is amazing!

still a lot of light to work in😀unboxing when moving is def almost as much of a PITA than boxing everything up (just cross fingers nothing was broken) the studio is really starting to come together 🙂

Hi Ashley I am exactly like you I get attached to things and knick nacs I have a few too. I moved a couple of years ago up the coast and up until now been unpacking boxes lol So I totally get that. But I did get rid of quite a few things before coming up here to the North Coast furniture etc as it wouldnt fit in the truck we hired for moving. I do enjoy the Thrift stores here in Australia we call them Op shops which is short for Opportunity shops. I like the name too. Your little art room looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing

Yes I’m like you. It’s very difficult. But I’m 62 and I have so many art supplies it’s ridiculous! Btw that desk in the little nook is perfect. Wow, that was just a perfect fit. It is a bummer losing those beautiful windows, but it is nice that you can paint in your living room. I wonder with oil painting, don’t you have the smell of solvent throughout your home? I have only used water mixable oils but even then there’s smell. I have a sensitive nose though and get migraines.

I'm glad I'm not alone lol! I try to use ordorless solvents to minimize the smell. I also only use the solvent in the beginning for early washes, otherwise I use oil to clan the brushes. I can crack these windows open too, so that helps! I know water mixable oils are definitely safer, so I may have to try them out one day.

Have you tried changing the "AutoLock" option to "Never". That will let you use your phone without it going black. If you want. :)

Where are the shelves you put at 20:50 are from? I really love them 🥰

Where did you get your loose leaf tea from? I’m trying to make the transition, but don’t know where to start

I was looking for this comment! 🌿🌳🌴🪷 I feel suffocated by just looking at this and wondering how this is even remotely better than the previous studio which had greenery close to it. Perhaps it's good for her to be content with what she has but I, as an artist cannot even imagine being here. Being close to nature is vital. 🙏🏼🌴🌳
