99.9% of dream theater songs are do-able on a 5 string though, the only reason to need a 6 string is in the top frets of the C string which are rarely used, everything else can be written around on the G string

@@joaomatheus6222 no he doesnt, i thought he did too but no, actually he only plays triplets and really fast lines with 3 fingers, if u look closely dt live shows u can see he is playing with two fingers most of the time.

You're gonna need thicker guage strings first. Stock strings won't do it, guessing this is drop A So the tuning would be AEAD but that way you won't have the top G, my sugestion would be to play anything lower than a low E an octave up, or get a 5 string

tbh im more surprised of the left hand than the right one, that fretting is just sooooo good, i was 2 years old when this video came out and rn im learning this one and YYZ to improve more, this video help me to take notes from the fingering and fretting and to keep on going to be like u, thanks man!
