I think this is the earliest surviving footage of Aerosmith on film. They were on American Bandstand in 1973 but unfortunately, I think that episode is lost. The Midnight Special have been putting out a lot of goodies lately.

I saw Aerosmith in the 70s in Atlanta Georgia at the Omni it was my first concert I got all the way up to the front I was pressed up against the fence and I cannot tell you the feeling I got when Steven Tyler looked down into my eyes I was hooked from that night on anytime I went to a concert I had to have front row so the performer could look me in the eye there’s nothing like it

Just like when a pretty woman looks and a guy and smiles. Most numbskulls think the gal must really like 'em... just because "she's smilin' at me!" There's nothing like it... and you just named the female equivalent! no shade either way... just the way it is.

Bingo! That's why people are "amazed, dumbfounded etc." about the Stones (Like ROSmth one of the bands about who you refer)and their "magical" new singles. Strip away all or some of the gizmotic "essentiality" that has made recorded music something akin to tonal "Crisco Oil":since 1983 and Wowsa! This is incredible! It's downright revolutionary! Voices and instruments, from humans only and the sound causes goosebumps and chills down the spine? It"s verifiable evidently. It's brilliant. True genius!😂😂. 1970's ROSmth's sound was the most unaltered of all the Rock acts, and they reached top of the heap and stayed there. You can hear the picks hitting the strings and the point of impact when sticks hit drums ànd cymbals.😅 Music like everything else is cyclical . Maybe recording live will become a trend again. I'd love, to have that need to bolt to a record shop and purchase the song that just blew me away on the radio. Just one more time before I croak!😂 👍🎶

They were not at their peak during these sessions. Young and full of energy yes. But not at their musical peak. 76’ they were pretty much there but the heroin and cocaine about did them in. In the 80s the album “Pump” they were at their peak as well. After that “Get a Grip” was pretty awesome. The guitar work from Joe and Brad on “eat the rich”, “living on the Edge”, “crazy”, “amazing” etc..was second to none. They had moments of greatness on “nine lives” as well. After that it was few and far between.

Aerosmith was the first band I ever seen " 74 " ( they opened with MAKE IT 🎶 ) and the second band I ever seen " 75 " Toledo Ohio both yrs. The 74 ticket was purple and Aerosmith was spelled Arrowsmith. Sadly I lost that one but I do have the ticket stub ( laminated ) from 75. still. My adoptive brothers from another mother till the end ! We lived through those 70s side by side. . . like gypsy's . What a time it was. Aerosmith is my number one favorite American rock band. Love you guys ❤ FOREVER.

I saw Aerosmith in 1976, and I had taken my beautiful girlfriend I had at the time. She ended up going back stage with a few other beautiful chicks, and that was the last time I ever seen her. I have no idea where she went, or where she is to this day.

Sorry bro' Im sure she's somewhere out there, but my guess is she ended up in the groupie train. After that probably bounced around witht the band(s) until she was used up or they got fresh recruits. The debauchery of those days was both greek and tragic for "beautiful" women as their self worth was mostly tied up in their looks and most of em just wanted to say they got with whomever back then. And Smith was at the top of that shit pile.

Because I was and still am into rock I place TMS 3rd because of some of the light Pop and RnB acts but TMS gets mad love for broadcasting David Bowie's 1980 Floor Show. On the flip side I seem to recall In Concert broadcasting the Spiders from Mars last concert. And I will never forget California Jam!

I was a senior in High School. We saw them at The Palace Theater on Main Street in Dayton Ohio. Elephant’s Memory opened. They were known for being the Beatles opener at one time. Their one hit was “Mongoose” Their Sax player came out and played with Aerosmith. The Palace was one great venue. Bachman Turner Overdrive made my ears ring for three days. Then, as if by prophecy, the Place Burned to the ground after KISS played there. Like that night. The official story was it had nothing to do with KISS’ pyrotechnics. Man that was a GREAT time for rock & roll. It seemed almost daily something new and incredible came out. TROWER for instance. Bridge of Sighs. Cheers. +x
