Maria is such a class act. I appreciate her not criticizing or mocking the old design of the house. This was once someone’s home. Just because it’s outdated there is no need to make fun of design choices. More Maria please.

I love Rebecca and her work however I found both ladies were very critical of the previous homeowner's style. It's a shame because there are easy ways not to criticize at all or just reword comments. It breaks my heart to think of someone watching the home they once loved torn apart on national television. Anyway, another great video nonetheless.

The old design was top of the line, back in the day. Times change and so does design. Looking forward to the final reveal.

Our home was by far not on the same scale (5 beds, 3 baths), but when we bought it, it was very “European/tuscan” with custom drapery in every room, outdated granite, lots of terracotta and gold/brass everything (but not nice gold). When we started to demo I actually felt a bit guilty tearing out what would have been expensive fittings in their day. We are almost done (2 years later) and have refurbished every single room and space in our home. There were some things we couldn’t afford to change (stair railings and 2 arched windows), but we definitely dragged our house from the mid 90’s to the mid 2020’s! I will have to chat to the hubby about a one on one session for a bit of styling advice.

Great video of little ladies with big ideas flying! Love to see Maria and what a fabulous house this will be. I especially love the glorious gardens and pool, and Maria’s ideas to really open up the house to showcase these spectacular views. She and her husband must have tremendous discipline to get a house like this to perfection and then sell it. Granted it’s a great income stream, but I’d have a hard time leaving this pool! 😊. Before you start work on a home, do you bring in a structural engineer to make sure you don't compromise the structural integrity of the house? If so, can you do a video on what to look for in a structural engineer? There are some things I'd like to do to my condo, but I don't have the blueprints. Love your channel.

I get what you are saying ... I think barn doors have seen their better days. I do however see the functional reason for going there... I think it depends on the style and finish she chooses. I was confused for a hot minute, you guys calling it a Maui house. While it does look like an upscale resort area Maui house, I could see it wasn’t on Maui, because I live on Maui. The other clue was Rebecca’s black riding boots. 😂 Yet another clue was getting that project done in six months. On Maui, no way, nope, not happening. 🤣 So excited to see the finished project. 🤗

Can you please give Maria a mic, too? I’d really like to hear her, as well. Love your work, Rebecca!
