She's so cute. Cooks for them that a.m. Then in a later episode she teaches a widower and teenage sons to cook. Awesome lady!

I love how she was satisfied with what she had and didn't go in debt to keep up with the times or trends. She had a heart of gratitude for what she had. I'm glad she was chosen.

I think sometimes children do not realize the sacrifices parents make for their children, especially if that sacrifice is not readily seen. It is so good to see that these kids do realize what their parents gave up for them, for their College education. The kitchen is really a Master Piece, its beautiful and completely functional. What a great transformation. George, you have a God given talent. Keep paying it forward!

I absolutely love the mother, she’s so excited & giddy, it’s way too cute. She seems like such a caring, loving, genuine person & you know she’s gotta be all those things because look at her kids, they’re so loving & selfless because they could have easily asked for their rooms to get done but no, they didn’t do that, they also made sure the focus was completely on their mom which is truly heartfelt & amazing, their dad would be super proud of them!

This lady was a very well deserving candidate for a new kitchen. She loves to cook. And she never made any excuses even when her kitchen was falling apart. Very beautifully done by George and team. I so wanted to see the old chairs that they painted in the kitchen but didn’t spot them.

Seriously commend these people. They put their kids through college and just dealt with things breaking down. Sending lots of love to this family & im so happy George did this for them.

This show is addictive!! I've watched 20 over all day. Big smiles, tears and wows. Love you George.

This family was so deserving!!! Working in a school cafeteria is truly a hard job!!!! Kudos to George and his team! Beautiful job.

Warm and lovely woman; makes do with no fuss, no frills. Not spoilt like so many are. Thoroughly deserving of the help.

Her future grandkids will be the luckiest grandkids in the world! XD Hope this family have a good & happy life.

Him and George are old friends and he’s done loads of George to the rescue’s with him, he normally makes kitchen cabinets but he gets right in there and ain’t afraid to get dirty and pitch in on anything, he said once on a rescue “were not going to make any money doing this, it’s not going to break the bank, But when u see the families reaction at the end of this rescue, u will see it was all worth it!” He’s such a gem just like George!, n he is an amazing carpenter too! I’ve been watching George to the rescue now for the last week for about 6-8 hours plus a day!!, I’m addicted honestly I am! Lmao 😂 but not like I can do much else as I’m disabled but it’s the best hours I have each day, so many deserving people, and one I watched I found out that George had to rescue his own dads home because his dad has got Alzheimer’s, so so sad, no one deserves that, xxxx

I love this lady!!! I love that she cooked for George and crew. This lady reminds me of my mom who also cooked professionally for homeless youth, then for University Students and now for elderly diabetic patients. My mom has always been very much loved and appreciated by her clients for making home cooked meals when she could've just heated up canned food. Nothing like food to nourish the mind, body and soul.

The guy at 7:12 is just so happy and amused with Arlene mothering them. This is adorable!

I love that she cooks good, interesting, nourishing meals for the kids. I went to a new high school and they contracted with a food service for lunches. The chef was trained in Europe and the food was fantastic. This was a Public school in a not particularly upscale area. It can be done.

What an amazing transformation to the kitchen, how on earth did she cook in the old one for so long.

Love this family is all I can say. And the crew that helped redo that kitchen equally loveable. Thank you for reviving my faith in people.

Honestly, this is one of the funniest rescues I've watched! "Paperclips, clear tape...I wanna throw them all out" "What are you doing in here?" "Breakfast. You eat, then you can work" "This kitchen is demo'ing itself" Did she make cheesecake from the hotel? "...if I scream like a girl; nothing against goes because most girls I know are tougher than me anyway" I love mum. She's amazing. And the kids are wonderful. And you can see the love between mum and hubby, you can tell they have a fantastic relationship

I know that you have time constraints but for future reference if you want an excellent finish on anything, chairs, tables, etc, try media blasting the old finish off. Media blasting uses many different types of things to blast with. And for wood, baking soda blasting is perfect, it leaves no residue on the wood nor does it marr it.

Nothing Like Good meal in a New kitchen every thing was just Beautiful. Amazing how the crews come together help and learn people style of there home. Amazing George have such kind heart for every home he remodel .

I love you George because you help a lot of people , some peace have junk and a dirty house, those people are lazy. It's a good idea to fix damage right away, little by little. If you leave it, it will get worse and cost more money.

So loving the kitchen. Wonderful family and you can see how happy they were at the reveal.

You're not old enough to remember when people had to light the pilot on the burners and the oven manually. The home where i grew up, we had to do it every time. It didn't have standing pilots or electric igniters.

What happened to the chairs they painted?

Wow. If that house was in an earthquake prone area you can see that with just a little bit of shaking all that stuff would falling on your head. Very dangerous. The contractors work was quality. The only thing I didn't like were the laminate floors. They are probably going to release some noxious fumes over time and make them sick. Everything else was nice.
