I’m 7 months loc’d 🔒 I started with comb coils and get a retwist every 4-5 weeks. Because of my texture I do not wash on my own or get my hair wet, even when on vacation. Thanks Gunther, I appreciate your insight!

Dope dread journey for 6 month

I have high top dreads, and I love them

I started my second set in January of this year my first set which I had three years I had full head of dreads then I cut the sides and I still had some in the back it wasn’t a hightop kind of semi. then I comb them out last year and started doing braids other hairstyles then decided to get dreads back but still got my sides cuts and my hair is already at the back of my neck and if pull just bit their at my shoulders and can do small pony tail I’m 5 months in and I’m liking my second set better then my first.

I tried that bar soap wash he made a video on awhile back a few times. and that helped a lot for me

I’ve been going the free form route I’ve used a brush and a sponge and my hair is mostly just curled and short

Question: I am new to the locks community and is 5mths locked. I went a new loctician and she trimmed my frizz before she retwist. She said she doesn't like to put the frizz back in the lock. After she finished retwist my hair, I nearly cried. Alot of my hair was on the ground. Will my hair ever get back thick again? Because it looks really thin now.
