+Rubber-Johnny The parts that wear out or break are normally the iron switch, the iron itself or the heater element and all of these are available and replaced fairly easily. It generally doesn't require the unit to be returned to the factory, but they can be picked up from almost anywhere int he UK for about £20 and returned to the workshop if necessary. Cheers
