The question I get asked the most often is about the materials I use. If you’ve been watching my videos for a while, you’ll know that the first video I made went over the tools I used most often. I realised it's been over a year since I made that video and a few things have changed since then. Here is my updated tools video which details some of the new tools I’ve been using, and lets you in on the hacks I’ve perfected over the past year and a half. I hope you enjoy!

Jono's intro is so modest. "Hey I'm Jono and I do pencil drawings". Anyone who sees his work know it's sooooooooo much more!!!

Thanks Siyabonga had a lot of fun making this video! Glad you enjoyed it.
Music is one of he most important tools when I draw. It keeps me active and prevents me from becoming bored, allowing me to draw for long periods of time.

Got back into drawing after about 13 years. I lost a lot of confidence then I discovered your channel and absolutely inspired me to get back into it not just how good your work is and hopefully come close to replicating your quality of work, but the tips and tracks too! So just want to say thank you and what a legend! 🤜

I think this is probably my favorite video that you’ve done. It’s so much lighter and happier and your playfulness is extremely appealing. Thank you for sharing yourself ❤️
I would have like to see some of the effects you get with the compressed air, that's a technique I haven't seen before.
Wonderful tool update! Great video! Can't wait to see your next one!
Thank you for sharing your techniques and advice. Lots of good stuff here.

I love your work so much. I just eagerly wait for your videos everyday
the way you do these videos is like an art documendary ! This is fantastic
Genuinely loving how you've started adding fun clips showing your personality in your videos .... quality content 😂🔥
Awesome Jono! Thanks for sharing your skills and tips! You ROCK! Such amazing talent 👏
I think these videos are an artpiece themselves too. It just amazing how much work he must put in to these.
Thanks Jono, I didn’t understand what the sandpaper mesh was until now. Compressed air - genius. Thank you for sharing your materials and tools you use.
Brilliant thank you for your time
Such amazing work and inspiring attitude towards your work! Love listening to your video while I work, definately helps me to stay focus! Looking forward to many more great work from you.
I found your channel a few weeks ago and you are automatically number 1 in my top 10. Thank you for sharing your techniques and tools.
Love when your humorous side comes through! Super helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for this valuable information. I always wonder about your tools.
Jono videos are always top notch.🔥
Watching from Atlanta, I have a few questions if you don't mind! 1. What is your process for shipping large scale originals? Do you build a crate, etc. 2. How many months/years does it take for you to produce enough artwork for a show? As always (without being repetitive) your work is awe-inspiring! Thanks,
You inspired me to do my first hyperrealistc drawings and im currently working on my best drawing because of what i learned from watching you and your style and techniques. Thank you for sharing.
Just recently picked up sketching after a long hiatus. Accidentally came across your channel and I am in awe. Thank you for sharing. Subscribed!

You are a wonderful inspiration. What a fine line and mark you can lay down.🧑🎨
Your artwork is AMAZING!! I love the box you keep your pencils in too, I have 2 of them for my colored pencils and now i want to buy more of them. The video was fun to watch!✌🏼✍🏼
Thank you very much for showing your drawing tools Jono.❤ It is so helpful and we know now how to use them.
Simply astonishing
Thank you for sharing. Love your amazing art work.
Thanks for sharing Jono. I’ve learnt so much from you thank u !
Thank you for this! I am learning so much from you. Thank you for sharing your experience and being my taecher!
The compressed air in your hair 🤩😂😂❤️ made my day. Your work is beautiful
Your the one!! I really love your art work please keep up the great job your doing my friend.
Thank you for sharing this information. It’s very unselfish of you to do this, especially for us not so talented drawers. I enjoy watching all your videos. The canned air and embossing tools were a surprise to me. Guess you can tell how new I am to this. Really helps knowing all little extras . Thank you again!
This video was so helpful for a newbie artist. Thank you! Loved the clip of you blowing your hair with the compressed air, it's fun to see your goofy side in contrast to the intensity if your drawings.
Everytime I watch your videos I get the Bob Ross kind of vibe by the way you speak so calmly.

These tools are very helpful. I love your drawings!
Thanks for answering what tools.
Jono, for some reason i couldn't comment on your previous video about Solitude and I actually watched this video a few times just to listen to your words. So soothing and helpful to my mind, thank you. Also, take good care for that golden right hand.
I asked a question about your tools and another video just moments ago. Please disregard that I'm saving this video. Thank you so much for sharing. That is so awesome. Definitely three takeaways of new tools I don't use. Very cool. And you're at work is breathtaking of course. There are no words. But I didn't hear is it cold press or hot press for the paper. You get such Darkness on your work I love it
Your mezmerizing! The calm after the storm. I could watch you day after day. Your look! Wow! Your work Wow! 💖💖
You're amazing artist ❤
I recently discovered your artwork from your post on Reddit about Solitude and since then I've been watching your videos. I must say your artwork is so sooo beautiful and ethereal. I also love the way you speak in your videos. Keep being amazing! Love from Sri Lanka ❤️
Oh, I love that little woodbox you use to keep all your drawing tools. One day when I have my studio setup done, I definitely want to invest in something like that.
That is very helpful, Thank you for making this video.
Such a brilliant artist with down to earth attitude.....wishing u all the very best....love ur art
You truly are the greatest 2D artist who's ever lived. I gave zero doubt about that.
Nice one jono

Wow sir amazing work
Thanks for sharing your tools, Jono. I have about half of them on hand. Would not have thought of the canned air. Bright blessings.
You are literally my greatest inspiration😍😍
Thanks a lot Jono!!
I love that your materials are in proportion. In that an electric rubber will take off a hair or an eyelash ...a sliver of colour ... and a propelling pencil is always pointy enough for fine detail. These things are true only because your work is the size of a small house. :_)) Some of us do small work and to take off a 'sliver' of colour we have to aim just the edge of a new or newly refined eraser and to get the finest line, we have to sharpen. The lesson remains valid, though, in that we all need precision materials that are fitted to both us and the work we're doing.
The way you explained everything is amazing. Thank you so much...♥️

U are my biggest inspiration ever.
Hi Jono! I am very inspired by your work, they are amazing! They are encouraged to develop and learn something new. For a long time I dreamed of drawing an eye, as realistic as possible, started looking for references on the Internet, stumbled upon a cool job, it was immediately clear that this was a pencil drawing, not a black and white photograph, which is surprising, there was no signature on that picture. When I started to draw, I got a deja vu, that I saw it somewhere, but it turned out that it was your work. Sorry, please, I hope this does not hurt, but rather encourages you to create even more amazing works, so that people would like to try to repeat your unique creation! With love, your subscriber!
Lol. Love your sense of humor with the cam.
Huge process... Huge skills........ Huge product...

Jono, maybe you should talk about dealing with frustration or mistakes in a video? Like, do you ever have a moment where you make a horrible mistake and just want to scrap the whole thing? Actually do? Or overcome the frustration?

So intesting. The compressed air is genius.

Compressed air for soft erasing! Brilliant!
Very informative thanks👍
Sir you are an amazing artist...🙌
Morning Jono, love the video dear... a couple of giggles with the coffee (lol) Curious with the compressed air, shall give it a go, and still working on the extra large size, might be in the later winter after I finish unpacking and down sizing, Ugh what a chore, I should of done it years ago, when the kids got older ( there about your age) sending hugs, be safe to you and your family.
You're more comfortable now...WE SEEE! and we're sooo happy 😁❤️
You do masterpieces!
Hahaha I am loving the way you made this video a lot more interesting!
