in 2017i if you have space in the file name of the applied Object Group - Selection Filter the drawing creation function does not work. What about in 2020 ????

Yes, the filter names still need to be created without spaces in 2020.

@@TrimbleTeklaDave thanks for your reply, I also have 2020 licence, but I do not use it because of the stupid ribbon, property pane etc. - I think the head of the development is a stupid psychopath - Xsteel was the best detailing software and Tekla was also until 21.0; but now they have monopoly position - they think they can do anything

How would I apply the rules to the Auto Drawing tool?

Not sure I understand your question.

In the saved drawing properties I use User-define attribute parameters but this automated drawing creation method does not care about UDA fields. Is that true?

I'm not sure what you're asking... the Rule Set only looks at the overall drawing property (eg "Beam_with_BOM") so it should include any UDA's that are saved with the overall drawing.

@@TrimbleTeklaDave UDA is part of the drawing properties but even if I type any text for eg. in the Comment field it will not appear after creating drawings. Once I applied a named drawing properties, that UDA content will apply regardless of the other UDA content specified in the different master drawings.

@@jordanhernadi2157 I tested this in v2020, and it worked like I assumed it would - if the UDA properties are saved as part of the drawing settings, then they are also included regardless of how the drawing was made - manually or through the rule set/master drawing catalog. Perhaps they are not getting saved properly?

@@TrimbleTeklaDave thanks for trying but I also tested this issue in v2020 with saved UDA attrib. (Comment) and does not want to work for me - well if you once applied a saved setting with UDA text (for manual DWG creation or for any other reason), this text will be applied for all of the drawings created through the MDC after. Therefore you will need to save and test 2 different text at least. I used one of the default environment made by Construsoft (Europe) for this last test.
