Yeah, not just designs either. But also the typing. The typing for X ones seems so good and more meta-relevant. The Y ones just have the same typing.

I get the feeling that the inspiration for Mega Arbok X is referencing the Arbok that got sliced by Charmeleon in the Pokémon manga.

I noticed a lot of the megas gained mainly a Fairy, Fire, Ghost, Ground, or Rock as their secondary typing. Also my favorites would have to be Ninetails, Rapidash, and Dewgong. Edit: You can keep your Mega Mr. Mime X. That is just pure nightmare fuel haha.

Amazing easter egg with the Arbok. There was an Arbok that got sliced in half by Ash’s Charmeleon in the comics, and this was the ghost of that Arbok.

The arts are biased against Y lmao if you look at them all. X ones got drastic design, colour and typing changes The Y ones have the same typing and look the same with just a few accented features.

I like watching these kinds of videos because some of the designs can be interesting

It looks like a proposal from two different cartoonists. One has everything clear and the other just tries.

I love how all the Pokémon's types with the exception of Rapidash, Kingler, Hitmonchan, Tangrowth, Articuno and Moltres)are either the same in Y form or have an added/changed type in X form.

great work on all of them, now if only they could become official versions

A mix of both concepts works perfectly for Porygon Steel works nicely as it's a digital Pokémon and sleek metals are used lately in pcs, espically in high end or gaming ones. Also mega fairy mew is amazing

I don't even like Mega Evolution, yet giving each Pokémon X and Y variants of a Mega Evolution somehow amazes me... But only because it makes having X & Y as 2 versions of Pokémon in Kalos become way more meaningful than having 2 Pokémon Versions usually is. For all Non-Starters, i'd even be up for a Mega-Z evolution as well.
