Thank God for the rain.

That's what happens when you decide to build your houses below the 50-year flood line. If you ignore the historical flood levels it's your own fault when the next heavy rain washes away your dreams.

And to think that not too long ago we were crying over drought😢

I will never buy a house near a river, this is a lesson for everyone.

The Vaal dam should have been emptied sooner., they should know when to do it. It was already full before Christmas..

These idiots managing the water have no idea what they're doing. In Okt they predicted a wet December. Water should then have been let out of Bloemhof first and a week later the Vaal to make space for influx from rain and tributaries.

@tff8514 and if they lead too much water out and it doesn't rain and there is drought then you would cry again. Rather people didn't listen and build next too rivers and dams. No one can predict the weather, not even you.

Wow at last the dam is full again. Last time i was there it was almost empty.

If u look on southern africa satellite weather u will see where the rain come from

Do you personally know some of them business owners living there?! With the judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged...they are six feet above flood level, and this is their third flood because someone in the upper circle dont listen to any advice . Watching everything via satellite....unfortunately it doesnt work like that, he needed to lift his ass and went down there to see for himself but, I think his nose blocked his brain...so dont judge...
