Boy you nailed it as they get popular they don’t want to chat or complain about the viewers wanting to say hi . Some say they have to disguise their parents so they don’t get bothered. They call themselves famous bloggers. It’s a joke.

You are so right. I’ve been watching a lot of these guys. A lot of them inspired me to come to the Philippines. But their bickering between themselves has made them look like little bitches to be avoided when I get there next week.

When you have 65 + year old white guy acting like children ~ Been there once back in 2014 and never again ~ Flew down to Duma from Manila from Cebu, a little flight detour to Manila for the night ~ I just wanted to see what all the hype was about ~ Lets just say, 75 year old chasing 13 and 14 year old little filipinas (You get what I mean? must have a organized ring of MMM) Also he thinks all KZreadrs are great guys ~ Anyone who puts their life online specially on video has a screw loss ~ I met only one YTer ~ Phily in the Philippines in Cebu one year ~ He said the samething ~ people are hiding on camera or doing YT for the wrong reasons ~ Brian does it to do something & to pass time? He does not put his kid that much on video and his wife does YT just to have $$ for the girls. My home is near IT PARK ~ There is no Dumaguete or Angles City for me!

I quit following several of them because of the drama. I think Everyman has a story is the worst! He was probably the first I started following. I unsubscribed from him a couple months ago.,him and world zoom had a thing also. I know it’s good vloggers out there, but I will just stay to myself. I didn’t come here to listen to the grown crybabies fighting every few days. I think everyone should stop following people like that, but just my opinion. Thanks for the video. Pro Tip: Never book more than 2 days when you get to a new place. I always do 2 days to catch up on jet lag if I have it, and gives me a chance to get a bike and feel the place out. Plus, if the online photos don’t match the place you aren’t on the hook and can go check other spots out in person

Been low carb 4 years. Me, like most people, go a little crazy at the start. "Am I in ketosis?" "What's my weight today?" And I was eating fats like it was health food. After awhile people generally realize it doesn't matter whether you're in ketosis or not. Weighing yourself isn't needed either as long as you're actually keeping carbs under 20 grams a day. If you're cheating it also does matter because you're not on a low carb diet if you think cheating is OK. You're on the Fantasy Low Carb Diet. Gossiping about drama is creating drama.

I don't live in an Expat-populated area in the Philippines so I don't get involved in petty-politics etc., here so I experience no Dumaguete drama. Anyway, vis-a-vis Vietnam, and by no means is this a case of my being a travel 'snob'. I simply enjoyed an experience unadulterated by mass tourism and the pursuit of profit. I was in Vietnam as a young man in 1993. For a fulfilling and fun experience rather than taking an organised tour to Halong Bay, I would suggest getting a train from Hanoi to Haiphong - 3rd-class hard-seat if you can bear it - and then a ferry from Haiphong to Halong Bay. Sailing through the bay at night is a truly magical experience, especially if there is a full moon. Obviously things have changed. Don't stay in a big hotel - there are still plenty of guest houses knocking around as I found when I revisited a few years ago and the locals appreciate the cash more than the tourist giants. We found a place with a family who rented out a few spare rooms to us and another family. We ate with the family, paying for the food simply being part of the cost. Similarly, don't pay through the nose for a charter tour of the bay. There are plenty of of boats/fishermen in the harbour who would welcome a bit of extra cash to take you on a private trip.

I really agree with you about the demeanor of many travel bloggers. I even caught a well know Columbian station, faking stories about apprehending scopolamine criminals via “sting operations. “ In one such video, it was so obvious the perpetrator came equipt wearing a blue tooth clip mike attached to the side of her shirt collar but concealed by her long black hair. You could see the blue “ active” light. I wrote him and politely addressed this with him from a “ one down position” ( confused, naive). He deleted my comment and tried some cheap way of trying to conceal the mike but it didn’t work. And he’s a big man in the community. It was so obvious. 😮

@@lkabong5529 not true at all. Most every market I visit had up to XXL on shirts and size 13 on shoes. You only need one pair of shoes, make sure they are comfortable. Yeezy 350’s are my favorite. Like walking on marshmallows stacked on clouds and very breathable. Get you some flip flops when there. If you’re extremely overweight might be tough to find shorts big enough. But tip 2 I didn’t see any reason someone from America can’t find what’s needed flip flop/sandal and shirts wise. Perhaps valid on shorts. Pants aren’t needed there
