I'm a Patriots fan and I absolutely want us to draft Maye with the 3rd pick. Playing in NE (cold and outdoors) you have to be tall, athletic, have a strong arm and be tough. Drake has all of those qualities. The Pats will coach him up to deal with any current deficiencies (decision making, footwork) but what he brings to the table we absolutely need.

@@som3839 1000% "I don't want anybody to think I'm too good to learn" basically. Meanwhile Maye is like "Yeah man I'm the best this is just how I throw" and I'm like..."Dude...no...." He's a 2nd round pick at best after that imo lol. I wanted to like Maye and have him prove me wrong but now that's impossible. He's the biggest red flag in the draft for that one. He's too young to pretend he's got anything down when he has the absolute worst mechanics out of all the top prospects at qb. Now I know he thinks like a primitive man and "if it's not broke don't fix it" seems to be his motto based on his interview. The craziest part is some people tried to twist that interview into making him sound the best when his stock objectively plummeted after Mccarthy sounded much better in his interview. Personally I think Mccarthy deserves to be drafted over Maye now, same with Bo Nix. Maye can go somewhere between them and the top of the 2nd round/end of the 1st when they take Penix. I still like Penix more, though. All of them are going to be better day 1 starters than Maye who has effectively proven he's not ready to lead a team to anywhere yet. His agenda should only consist of holding a clipboard behind a qb like Flacco/Cousins. Maye is NOT a day 1 starter by any stretch of the imagination, thankfully even the staunchest Maye fans are starting to see it now, however. He's a project pick who doesn't want to learn anything new right now...meh. Maye needs hazed like hell before he'll mature any. I remember Sam Howell was just as idiotic and cocky coming in. UNC inflates their qb's egos way too much, full of hot air. They should know better, their footwork is awful. Maye leans on his arm instead of his hips way too often and mistakes are made because of it. It's like me pretending I don't need to use my hips to drive a frisbee in frisbee golf. Some "Analysts" think he can do it without his legs. It's hilarious who they'll allow to be scouts these days. 99.99% of them aren't qualified imo. Maye has a big arm but it's meaningless without proper techniques...and a willingness to learn is the most important. If you don't want to learn, you're not going to learn a damn thing. If he doesn't change his tune by next interview he's officially a bust waiting to happen. Right now I project Rattler to have more success than he does until further notice. Maye's lack of self-awareness is a glaring issue and he's clearly too green/baby to notice.
