I'm just imagining, years, ago, the young Post 10 being told by Post Mom that he'd never amount to anything if he kept jumping around in puddles. How little did she know.

I cleaned out the basement drain unafraid, your content gives me the courage to keep going, thank you.

That dam may have been mostly mud but it held quite a bit of water. Thanks for the video.

My guess is the flies really come around after you lower the water level as all that decay from the moisture attracts them and who knows what other creatures you dug up, lol. Nicely done!

It was nice to see you putting the dam materials on land instead of letting them pass through for once. It's so much better for the land and water quality. Most streams & river systems get enough debris falling in naturally to allow for healthy sedimentation which supports riverbed ecology so allowing large amounts of dam debris to enter the system actually damages the riverbed ecology and can create methane when decomposing depending on the flow rate. It's far better to return the debris to the land where it can function as mulch /compost to aid plant growth and build up the banks.
