    Thanks a lot. I'm happy you're learning. The size of the building + amount of occupancies will be the basis to determine the size of the drainage system. So hotels and apartment would need larger manholes and septic tanks.

    Edward, I have been following your one bedroom videos and learning a lot. Thank You. I haven't sent you any questions lately because I am exploring different areas of your videos. For example, i am using AutoCAD MEP to create component drawings that are referenced to the one bedroom project. I used it to add my electricals symbols and connections in my electrical layout. Currently using it to do my drainage layout. I created a GTB in AutoCAD 3D and imported it into my drainage plan however I realize that the elevation is not correct. Basin bottom sits on the ground. I need the top covers instead to be at the ground level....problem..in properties the ability to change elevation does not appear....How do I resolve?

  • @TDVision_U

    @TDVision_U

    2 жыл бұрын

    Man you are way ahead of the curb! But I'm excited about that. I'm happy you started to explore on your own. I'm not sure why your GTB does not have a elevation parameter. Maybe the base point of the GTB is at the bottom, try editing the object and moving it to the top? Or go to the "front-view wireframe" using the view-controls in the top left corner of the model space, and try moving the object down using the move command.

  • @Richardo7172

    @Richardo7172

    @@TDVision_U What i eventually did was in the original drawing i moved the top of the GTB to the zero line. For the benefit of all, if it (GTB) was 3feet (36") tall, i moved the top of the basin 36" down (-36"). Is the the correct way to do this......idk but it worked when i XREF it to my drainage layout.
