This is episode 15 of the One Bedroom House series, showing you how to draw a small house "From Start To Finish".
In this video, I will be doing an electrical plan (electrical wiring plan) for the one bedroom house in AutoCAD Architecture. I'll be using AutoCAD blocks as to place electrical symbols. My hope is that you will learn the fundamentals so that you can apply them to your own projects.

    Great great effort❤.. 1. Can one use foundation plan to do electrical plan? 2. How did you identify the location of switch for kitchen going by this plan ( I understand doors are not placed in the kitchen) 4. Is it appropriate not to show how wires run to the switches from the pannel box.

    Hi, love the lessons. Quick question I thought you weren't suppose to put duplex outlets under windows because curtains can electrical fires. What are your thoughts?

  • @TDVision_U

    @TDVision_U

    3 жыл бұрын

    That's very good reasoning 🤔. A real electrician would probably give a better answer. So depending on the code in your area, there should be an outlet every "certain amount" of wall space distance, once the wall is not broken. Wall space can be broken by doors or tall windows. For short windows that we have on this building, a plug is permitted to go under the window. You don't have to put it there though. But since it can essentially be hidden behind a curtain, and lines up with the window, then it's probably the best place to put it, aesthetically. If the circuit was properly built, the breaker should shut down even before a fire begins.
