In the Skills section of the character sheet, you don't use the little white box next to the skill in character creation. You click on it when you want to use advancement mark on that skill (hence the up arrow icon that comes up in place of the box). If you roll a dragon or a demon during play, the module automatically adds the advancement mark for that skill. To actually make the advancement roll you just click on the up arrow icon. If the roll is successful the skill is automatically increased by 1. This is what happened when you rolled a die and didn't know how at 7.15 - you made an advancement check for your axes skill! To select your trained skills in character creation you first need to enter your attributes. The correct base chances are then added in for each skill. There's nothing to click on to turn a skill into a trained skill - you just have to physically type in the number for the trained skill (i.e. double the base chance) next to the skill. If you do this, your trained skills will automatically appear on the front of the character sheet.

I just figured this out last night! I figured out the up arrow thing shortly after uploading, but the trained skill thing was vexing me. It’s not difficult, but it does feel counter-intuitive given how everything else is automated SO well. Thanks so much for watching and sharing this feedback!

Loving your DragonBane videos, listened to them all tonight while i was at work. Just wanted to point out something for character creation: you dont get to see all 6 of your scores before you place them. You roll your dice once, pick which attribute to place that score in, then roll your dice again. You choose the order they go in, but you dont know whats coming up next. After you roll all your stats, you can swap two of them with each other. (Pg 24 of rulebook) "Starting Scores: Roll 4D6 and remove the worst die, which gives you a score between 3 and 18. Assign that score to an attribute of your choice. Repeat this process five more times until you have assigned a score to each attribute. You must assign each score as you roll them, but once done you may swap two scores. Then you adjust your attributes based on your age. Note that you can never have more than 18 in an attribute, regardless of your age. Once assigned, your attributes rarely change during the game."

This was very helpful. I'm totally new to Foundry and I'm starting with the Dragonbane and Beastiary Modules, but really have no idea how to even install stuff correctly. If you have a more start to finish setup for GM guide any chance that would be amazing haha. But thank you for this.

Weird, I thought there was install file with it. Log into your FoundryVTT account at the foundry website. Go to the “purchased content,” and put in the activation keys for both the dragonbane modules (these should have been emailed to you). Then the modules should install just like any other Foundry module.

Fantastic walkthrough my friend. I have the Foundry VTT module for Dragonbane but I haven’t had time to jump in and play with it. Let me know if you’re interested in collaborating with Mr. Dragonbane 😁😎

I did notice a bug; trained skills aren’t changing the target number, and aren’t listing in the box in the front tab. I contacted free league. It might be a planned behavior but who knows?
