I love the wording "Heroic Ability: Backstabbing" 😂

Wow, a lot of my coworkers use this Heroic Ability.
I like that the damage bonus is a whole different die.
Im not sure if you noticed this, but you're supposed to assign your stats as you roll them. You can swap two scores at the end. It was a very interesting experience and a surprise after watching this video before my first game.
Great overview. More Dragonbane content, please! Can't wait to look through your Gilded Port supplement 8)
Another great video.
I really enjoyed this, it would be fun if you rolled up an adventure and made some npc, monsters just to show that part in the rule book.
Dragonbane has become my favorite system. My group has been running it for about a year, ever since we got the Alpha materials from the kickstarter. BTW, I noticed you had more rations than you can carry. My players try to get away with that too, even though they have never run out of rations in game. I wonder where everyone’s food insecurity comes from
Wouldn't you want to keep your trained skills checked?

Good question! No, because those boxes are what you check to attempt to advance skills after a session. If you roll a Dragon or Demon during the session, you'll check it as well for advancement.
Teeeechnically the rule is that you're supposed to roll your stats and assign them as you go, then you get to switch the places of 2 of your stats at the end of your rolls. Buuuuuut that's also a fucking dumbass rule so no one's gonna rage at you for just assigning them after the fact lol.

I think it's a pretty good method tbh. You roll a good number and you put it in the stat you want to be your main stat, but if you roll a better number later you can swap it. You can also put low numbers in stats you don't really care about. Your mage needs a high Willpower, but he doesn't really care about Charisma

Agreed. It's not a dumb rule at all. It's an improvement over the OSR rule of rolling stats in order.
