I love that other characters get a chance to fight in the earlier DBZ movies. Roshi really held his own for a second there!

I miss the old dbz where all you heard was the fighting itself and not having almost every scene with its own soundtrack. The music is always great but i just miss the quiet moments in dbz. The silence itself made these fights so great in their own way.

The Ocean Dubs of the OG Trilogy are light years better than the Funi dubs.

That's because FUNi phoned it in with second-rate staff and third-rate VAs. Ever heard of Eric Dillow (Sansho)? Didn't think so. Chris Patton as Turles might as well have been a publicly stunt.

Damn, if only his Kamehameha made an exit wound. I wonder if he had used any of his tournament techniques or had the chance to power up to his muscle form would he had devastated at least one of them. Always liked this movie and this Roshi moment. As old as he is he prooved he could still keep up. I bet one on one he might have won. Thanks for posting this. My other favorite Roshi moment is in CURSE OF THE BLOOD RUBIES when his blast not only destroys the enemies navy but splits the sea.

Remember Roshi didn't use his full power here, if he did hes body will become very bulky like Hulk, and he might have a better chance.

Back when Dragonball Z movies were good AND used REAL martial arts movies instead of sloppy brawls like in the Androd Saga/movies, Boo Saga/movies, and garbage Super show💯

Dragonball had more cool marital art combat than in DBZ. The fight between Goku and Piccolo was intense.

I actually prefer the Kai/original dub version of Roshi's voice but I mean come on you said he was no match but he was repelling all their atks and managed to get in a Kamehameha if it had been one on one he'd of done just fine especially with the amount of technique's he knew in the last Saga of Super he didn't take out so many fighters with raw strength it was with cleverness and the right technique for each one
