@@AstraFulminous you never know abt trunks and goten. Even vegeta asks himself if he missed something when trunks became supersayan. Goten became one while in stress against chichi, since he was 4-5, he reached that peak emotion quicker

My personal take on this is that if there's no evil in Saiyans, most of them would be able to unlock the form. Goku was the first one to do it and he's not evil. Vegeta had a change of heart and through rigorous training he was able to access it. Their sons can easily access it since they aren't evil. And there's this universe where Saiyans aren't evil but just didn't know how to access it.

But originally, Goku's body already knows how to become Super saiyan and I think by the time Zamasu stole his body, he can already do SSB because they were able to catch him in the act of killing Supreme Kai in the original timeline. Zamasu doesn't know how to fully utilize the body so he gradually unlocks it by feeling the same thrill Goku feels when fighting. Also, God ki got transferred somehow so there's the rose colored saiyan in response to it.

Wait, aren't Caulifla and Kale in a space pirate gang or something? I'm not saying the "pure-hearted" bit is legitimate but if it was, wouldn't that exclude them? At the very least it would exclude Caulifla. I'm of the mind that the "pure-hearted" bit of the SSJ legend was added on through the years of Saiyan civilization. Goku gets a pass, but Vegeta, even with his change of allegiance, is far from pure-hearted when he first transforms. Same with Bardock if you wanna go further back/forward.

I imagine the reason these U6 saiyans are able to transform this way is just because of their biology. Cabba said it himself, the Saiyans in his universe evolved differently than U7. It’s why they don’t have tails. They transform using this “tingle” because they’re literally just built different.

Pure Saiyans in U7 were not in touch with their emotions, which is essential for a ssj transformation! Goten who was in touch with his emotions was so scared of ChiChi attacking him that his ssj transformation was triggered due to that fear!! The reason it took Vegeta so long to become ssj was because he had never felt genuine fear or any strong emotion before!! He never even cared for his home planet getting destroyed as much as he cared for bulma and trunks!!

I will say I DO like the direction they went with Caulifla and her personality. A leader of a gang of criminals would naturally be interested in gaining power. A Saiyan even more so. Her wanting nothing more than to gain power is pretty much the Saiyan mindset taken to its logical conclusion. All saiyans seen outside of Goku have been power-hungry warriors and she reflects that in her Universe better than Cabba does. But supossedly Saiyans are different there so maybe she's an outlier among them or something

These Saiyans are written as prodigies so it makes sense that they’re able to accomplish the transformation with ease.Just like Goten and Trunks. Besides it’d be ridiculous to give them a tragedy just for this transformation.For the most part their version of Saiyans are peaceful so I doubt they deal with loss as much as Universe 7.

@@SaltyBlueprint Goten got it sparring with his mother and I doubt Kid Trunks had any type of formal training or Zenkai boost to obtain his transformation so I still say its fair game.I will say it’d be preferred if we got more back story on them to see what they’ve been doing in terms of combat,but it’s not needed especially when you consider the numerous transformations that exist now.

People get so upset over how Super Saiyan was achieved so easily here but they forget that this universe is super different from 7 and Goten and Trunks both got Super Saiyan (Super Saiyan 3 when fused) before the ages of 9.

At least with Kale there seemed to be an emotional component. Like years of frustration and insecurity boiling over. Its at least something. That or her and Broly are one of a kind in their universes.

People forgetting that the years of research and work Vegeta and Goku did for this power helps them easily communicate it. Ur also forgetting Vegeta just used what he knew to cabba and cabba just tried to translate what he was feeling. Different perspectives can make it easier. Something Saiyan's didn't have for thousands of years because no Saiyan could get that initial feeling going.

Yeah. DBZ, GT and Super teach us that going SS is easy, you just need to know that it's an option. It doesn't even seem to be tied to how strong you are since Bardock went SS and I doubt he was as strong as Goku was when he went up against Freeza (since Bardock at that level of power got beaten by base form Freeza, but he still went SS when he got angry).

Looking back at this objectively, I don't really have a problem with how Cabba and Kale achieved Super Saiyan. Cabba's was a protective rage in reaction to Vegeta's threat to destroy his home, while Kale's was a more personal rage/despair out of fear of being left behind or abandoned by the person she cares for most. My main issue (and I reckon a lot of people's) is Caulifla just... being able to off the bat after seeing it once. And I think I know a way that they could have done the scene to make it work better. Instead of her succeeding so quickly, have it so she can only manage to get the aura while constantly concentrating (kinda like how Trunks before Future Gohan died). Then, she invites Kale to try it and everything kinda plays out the same (minus SSJ Caulifla) until Kale goes berserk. Have Cabba trying to subdue her without success and Caulifla trying to help but can't keep up with the Super Saiyans. THIS is then the catalyst she needs to step over the threshold, her anger at herself for not being able to reach the same level as them (sort of like Vegeta in a way)...

Yeah but that's part of the problem. If they are skilled and capable, as other characters have said, then why has SSJ never been achieved until they were told it existed? Mean to tell me nobody in a warrior species operating as a mercenary peacekeeping force ever got ANGRY in a fight until Vegeta made some half baked threats? Not to mention the "pure-heart" needed to become SSJ. I've always assumed that was just Saiyan legend distorted over time but if it holds up, then Kale and Caulifla should NOT be transforming. They are career criminals. Yes, I'm aware Toyotaro released some BS about them being U6 robin hoods but that doesn't really scan if it isn't elaborated in the Manga or the show. Which it isn't to my knowledge. It's just a blurb he put down.

It's crazy how caulifla turned into an SSJ2 in an instant to stop that blast. She didn't even realize it happened. Hahahah

Just noticed how Caulifla turned super saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 in the same day.

Seeing a female Saiyan go into its legendary Super form like that will always be the best bad-ass moment of the whole Super Spinoff series. Love you, Akira. God bless you!

I imagine kales voice actor leaving the recording booth with shreds of her vocal cords on the wall.

In defense of this situation (I've learned to like the show now that I'm watching it again with a more open mind, I'm a fan of DBZ and DB GT), these sayians likely took a different evolutionary path as evident by their lack of tails and the whole warriors of good thing. Super sayian would work differently for them because they aren't fully like the saiyans we're used to. Hell Kabba was lucky he didn't have to see his friend die in front of him like Goku did.

Regardless of what u wanna say when caulifa turned super saiyan that shit had me hyped

GoHan was considered a prodigy to but he didn’t just jump the super Saiyan two with ease it took a lot of internal struggle and he had to dig deep for the power. And by all accounts he had more potential than kale or caulifa. Way more potential yet she learns to go super Saiyan after a minute of watching someone else do it. Then she tingles a little bit harder and now she’s SS2. Then she’s begging Goku for SS3. A level that you had to actually reach down deep inside to achieve. But I guess she can just look for more tingles and she’ll get there

Listen man, Goten and Trunks didn’t exactly have to go through some emotional training arc to discover the power either. It seems these younger saiyans are just natural prodigies. They didn’t need to train to get ss3 either. They just watched goku do it once. Didn’t even watch it. They felt it

Ya to be honest if gohans forms bring out his potential he doesn’t really have that much compared to U6 goten & past trunks and maybe future trunks but who knows oh and frieza

If anger was truly enough to make it work then 5 minutes with lord frieza would make the whole planet go super.

Vegeta went to a planet full of electricity and got nearly killed by a meteor to go super after training at 450 times gravity for a year These kids makes their back tingly

I took two pre-workouts and while working out I too feel this tingling feeling in my back.

I hope they follow up with the extra universes. It was definitely intriguing to watch. I wanna see how they grow.

I hope for Kale development as a person and character later in the tournament she gains sum

In woman’s history the first female saiyan to unlock the transformation😂

Watching this makes me realize how easy it is to turn into a Saiyan nowadays I mean I had to struggle into turning into one for years but I finally turned into one when I was on the toilet from pushing too hard

What nobody seem to get is that universe 6 saiyajins get SSJ through the tingling in the back. Universe 7 stays intact lore wise.

Ssj was difficult to transform back in the days but since S cells transfers to through generations the earlier they get to super saiyan and have more potential, but since this is in another universe its kind of different and we never usually see a female pure blooded saiyan really transforms
