100% this. This is one of my all time favourite anime moments. That Mark video was awesome especially this moment. Thanks to that I discovered Gladius and subbed.

One thing I noticed recently in the narrative is that Gohan is figuratively and quite literally fighting his dad. Cell is comprised of Goku's cells, Saiyan urge of battle, the very thing Gohan is against. Goku is always pushing Gohan to become stronger and to fight in situations he doesnt want to. Cell proceeds to push Gohan until he snaps. Gohan is fighting what Goku wants him to do, and what Cell is reinforcing.

I will always be of the mind they should've either ended at Cell. Or at least not trash Gohan afterwards.

At last, Gohan has finally awakened his inner power. In battles against those of the like of Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and even Frieza, Gohan has shown this inner strength and shown that he, too, can also keep up with fighters like Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. He's changed, and after the gruesome death of his friend, Android #16, hes finally became the warrior he was meant to be. His name is Gohan, a kind, gentle soul and a strong, powerful warrior...

No matter the obstacles. The trials, Tribulation, tasks. Challenges in life; for those that bear witness when this song; anthem; call to arms if you will; ignites the fire within. You became more then whatever you thought you could be. You became more then just a faded image. You became a message to not only those that stood against all that you believed in standing against; you became a beacon of light. Of justice; of brother/sisterhood.

Its just the raw emotion of an already emotional track, from an incredible turning point in anime history, just turned up to ELEVEN. Knowing how the franchise was supposed to end with this battle, yet it persists to this day even after such a climax, is incredible

Combining both soundtracks at the right moment... never imagined.

What if in an alternate timeline, Toriyama kept Gohan as the main character after Cell? While giving him Bojack movie's hairstyle? And wrote him to have trained harder for 7 years? How'd the Buu Arc, End of Z, and GT have played out?

This song really captures the essence of DBZ

My favourite character by a long way. DBZ could’ve ended there and looking back now, I could’ve had no complaints.

For years, when I would go through struggles and turmoil in life, I would listen to this song (the original with vocals) and stare into Gohan's eyes feeling the chills pass through me and thinking to myself, "I will transcend myself" and each time, I did. Even if it was months later, I transcended, I grew by my own power. This orchestral version hits just right, thank you Gladius. The sparks of electricity as the song crescendos are truly exquisite.

I know that I'm late to the party but this cover is really something else, also, am I the only one that noticed that during the end of the theme Gohan's tears dry up, really nice touch there to symbolise a boy who has nothing to fear anymore and he's ready to fight

This is an absolute banger. I kinda wish it had the lyrics, but the instrumental version of the lyrics very much makes up for the lack of vocal lyrics. 10\10. having a blast listening to this and all your other songs while playing Xenoverse 2. :D

I've heard several renditions of Day of Fate but this has to be the most epic one there is! I can and have quite happily had this at full volume in my car whilst driving. And nice work including the Gohan Angers theme in there, as well. Magnifique!!!

Mark Fitzpatrick definitely knows how to utilize talent. Between using this, your remix in his Cell review and then bringing Team Four Star back for the Buu Bits, this guy has what it takes to be a serious producer. If he ever makes something original, I would get you to do the score if I were him, Gladius.
