@@90sprinceofcrime67 it’s the same with me, I just recently bought a new graphics card for my PC since my old graphics card could barely handle newer games at the lowest settings. So I bought a new one to which I’m able to play newer games with the highest graphics, which really makes me really excited to play Sparking Zero knowing that my pc can now easily handle newer games.

Seeing the chat groan about the graphics speaks to how jaded most people are at appreciating art styles and techniques used on display. Dragon Ball games were never graphically complex anyways because of emulating older anime aesthetics.

This looks absolutely amazing and I think that’s actually a fact and not an opinionated statement. If someone thinks this looks bad, I personally think it may just not be their preferred art style. This is top tier visuals compared to all other dragon ball games and anime games in general.

@@robbiedontmiss idk about them but for me it was only fixed recently- the shading on the characters looked pretty awful in previous trailers. I think you can look up "sparking zero graphics changes" or something to see what i mean. I also think the terrain while beautiful looks strange in a few places, like the grass in the beginning just looks like its almost TOO realistic and clashes with ssj3 goku imo. Gave off that weird 'unreal engine' vibe that i felt with Jump Force. Obviously the game still looks good overall, though i have a bit more hope for change on the animation side of things, like the character victory animations looking less awkward with just their mouths moving while theyre talking

Regarding the Art Style, it's very subjective. Either you dig it or not. I personally love the Look. Got Broly Movie Vibes, which is the best Looking Dragonball Movie imo. The Things that need fixing will be fixed.

I think graphically it's a mixed bag, but leaning more positive. There's a lot of good like the character animations, particle effects, charging aura, etc. Most of my complaints are on an artistic level. Stages are a tad too realistic, Super Saiyans still have that banana hair, other things like Vegeta's outfit looking black instead of blue. But on the technical side, the lighting sometimes looks pretty bad. There have been a lot of times in trailers where things that look like they should be lit by some light source just aren't. Stages with a darker time of day suffer a lot too. So maybe it's a problem with how the game handles indirect lighting? Idk

The super saiyan hair needs to be fixed. Lines are too soft and it looks like JELLO. SSJ3 looks awful. If you pay attention The only ones that look good are gogeta and vegito hair

I know people complaining about the graphics is annoying considering how good it looks while being fully 3D and with all the angles and motion. The only actual valid complaint from me is the hair, specifically the SSj hair. It’s angled weird and not puffy enough. SS3 Goku and even SSj1 Goku’s hair looks horrible in some shots in my opinion. There’s one SSj1 Goku shot that someone on twitter photoshopped to make it more accurate to the DBZ art style and man it just looks so much better. Fix the fucking hair, it’s important in Dragon Ball.

To the comment u said earlier about old Broly being stronger than dbs Broly I have to disagree. I say that because old Broly lost to Super saiyan 1 Goku. Dbs Broly was beating Goku and vegeta azz in base form while they were in God form.

Only Dragonball game recently this looks worse than is fighterz. This compared to xenoverse is crazy

The character models ARE a step down from Dragon Ball FighterZ, in art direction, animation, and overall in-game expression range. Look how dry the character intro and outros are, no style. And the camera during the intros, outros, and story scenes have a monotonous and uncinematic execution. Very low budget. Spike-Chunsoft don't have a name or catalog of great games. They're a cheap studio and they don't make characters uniquely from scratch. The characters operate like skins, you can tell because their body parts are clipping into their clothes, lol. Arc System Works specialize in art direction and unique character design, is a huge developer, and to get them to make a game cost hella money. Every character in DBFZ was built from the ground up and took roughly 3 months just to individualize ONE each. Two different games but collaborating and letting Arc System Works do the characters and animation would've been smarter and Spike-Chunsoft could do whatever with the gameplay. Sparking Zero has some really pretty EFFECTS, but it's definitely a step down artistically. You're literally playing with one character that has a 100+ skins masquerading as "characters."
