Interesting timing to see a retrospective on the GT saga right when we're hearing rumors of a new web series that could straight up lift from the show and canonize some of its story beats. I appreciate GT more than most probably do, but the main reason why is because it is actually set firmly after the end of Z. Super suffers because it is understood to be an interquel so we know what the ultimate outcome will still be. Narratives don't have stakes that way. GT is, at least, unpredictable, and I think that's a real plus.

DBGT has the best art and background music in the entire anime history. Period.
