Yeah, this whole video was pretty weird. They kept using special dialogue where two specific characters talk to each other without actually having them fight each other, occasionally it would say “you lose” without telling them the character’s name, they didn’t include baby and a few other characters, they should’ve watched a better video imo

Yeah using modded or anything other than the original costume or variant for a “all x or y” video kinda defeats the whole purpose of showing off the characters or whatever the video is showing off. Can’t blame the people who reacted though, since they aren’t 100% aware of the original designs.

Just to clarify, the two characters that appeared in bikini are not dressed like that in the original game, those are mods!

Yeah wish when people uploaded these videos they weren’t trying to show off their mods. It’s hard enough finding some of these that are edited decently enough. The first one we did might’ve had all the characters but the cuts were so jarring that we stopped it after two characters 😕

Just some notes: The video you choose missed Baby, Gogeta SS4, and Lab Coat 21 Goku Black(pink energy sword guy) and 21(bikini chick) where both modded in this video and not in the correct outfit. Goku and Vegeta are not related, although they are both from the same species. The bunch of Goku’s are: Kid on the dragon is Goku as a kid, the guy in an orange gi and has scars is Yamcha(one of goku friend), guy in the armor and with a headband is Bardock (Goku’s dad), Goku in a dark outfit is Goku Black (evil guy controlling Goku’s body), Gohan is one of Goku’s kids, Goten is the other (Goten isn’t in the game but he fuses with Trunks to make Gotenks, and Gotenks is in the game.

"That's what you get for killing my comrades." To make Bardock even more tragic, his bandanna is literally dyed red with the blood of those comrades. His fate is to confront Frieza over this, only to lose his life and planet with only the consolation of knowing that his son Kakarot (Goku) will avenge them one day (the reason he knows this adds to the tragedy). The alternate Dramatic Finish where he goes Super Saiyan (when Bardock raises his bandanna in victory) is only a reflection of what could have been.

I was expecting the GT characters like Baby Vegeta (Note: It's an alien parasite named Baby that took control of Vegeta's body and not a baby Vegeta) and SSJ4 Gogeta to be in this video compilation but I didn't see them. Also this compilation vid that you reacted to is, IMO, kinda bad for new people checking out the series cause some character's names isn't mentioned and the way it's presented is kinda bad, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah it wasn’t the best video. The first one we checked out also didn’t seem to be great with some jarring edits. Not sure why people always have to use mods. One day we may start another channel specifically for making good edits of these fighting games 😅

If you want an idea of the characters, their growth how they interact with each other I would *not* recommend Dragonball Z Abriged. Abriged is very satire heavy and doesn't explain everything completely. Like I said Dragonball Kai is probably the best if you wanna see DBZ with only the important bits, this is because Dragonball Kai is more or less the entire manga in animated form while the normal DBZ has fillers, Dragonball Kai is more straightforward. Dragonball Kai is about 98 episodes from start to finish and covers the first 3 main arcs of DBZ, there was a later Kai released which focuses on the Buu Saga completely and that's about 69 episodes. So in total about 167 episodes.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Dragonball as a whole is indeed very large if you were to take the original Dragonball, Dragonball Z and put them together it's around 200 and more episodes. But this is because both shows had Filler episodes which are episodes purely to give the writer time to move forward with the plot. Usually fillers are either not important or contribute to the story but some give some actual good explanations for certain stuff that happens in the show later on. Again it's not usually the case, but it can happen. But yeah DB Kai is pretty much everything that happens in the manga with better dubbing, more streamlined story and no fillers. Honestly DB Kai episodes are about 23-24 minutes long each, it's possible to watch 2 episodes in one sitting though you'd have to edit the video due to KZread's big deal on 'licensed' anime. I will say Abriged doesn't fall in this category as heavily due to it's satire. Ultimately it's up to you guys, Abriged will fill in some holes to give a general idea of story but you won't really understand why certain characters act the way they do especially versions of them later on in the story. Plus as some have said it doesn't go into the Buu Saga which explains, Gotenks, Vegito, Kid Buu, Adult Gohan and Videl.

It's awesome to see y'all getting into dragon ball. Its one of my all time favorites. I grew up watching it from the very beginning. 😊

Problem with these fighting game videos is that people love to add their own mods/custom outfits which changes(and sometimes ruin) the original character design. Wished someone could verify the videos before you watched them, but im still enjoying the reactions so its cool Edit : Also people dont dislike mods, they just dont make good first impressions since they change the original character design. We all mod our characters 😅

Gonna get clarified a ton I think by other people, but Vegeta is not the brother of Goku, that would be a different character early on in the Dragon Ball Z show, Prince Vegeta is the son of King Vegeta, who rules the planet Vegeta.

yeah, as much as I love Dragon Ball, it got *REALLY* convoluted as the series went on. Don't worry if you don't know all the characters; when you're just starting out, differentiating between some of them gets real complicated because of how similar so many of the styles are. Also, Vegeta is amazing as a character. I won't spoil anything since you guys are going through the abridged series, but he easily has some of the best character growth in the entire series. Unfortunately, there's part of it that will never be shown in the abridged because they ended before official Dragon Ball Z's final arc, but that's stories for *much* later. Hope you guys continue to enjoy this ridiculous and fun franchise!

Basically when a character fuse in Dragon Ball, it’s a whole new person with the combination of both character’s personalities. Also that Android 21 turns her opponents into sweets so that’s why she’s holding a cupcake 😂. Also, my favorite characters is Gohan (that was random, but I just wanted to say that 😂)

I dont know if someone already clarified this because this video is 7 months old but the 2 kids that fused are Goten (goku's second son) and Trunks (vegeta's son) and when they fused the made gotenks a very cocky child with a large fighting spirit

Some of these characters had mods on them which is why some of them were in bikinis or had different shaders than others by the way.

Fusion is to temporarily merge two or more bodies into a single, superior entity.

Fun fact: In japanese Bardock (Goku's father), Goku, Gohan (Goku's son) and Goten (Gohan's son) all have the same voice actor. Her name is Masako Nozawa and she celebrated her 85th birthday last year in October.

Like many people are saying, Android 21 ( the pink chick who made a cupcake) and Kefla ( the other female with green hair) don’t actually wear bikinis it’s just a mod that the person has on. Also, Android 21 has the power to turn people into candy and eat then to absorb their powers.

look up the "EVO 2018 Cell Scream". One of the best Dragonball Figtherz moments ever. It shook the venue.

Glad to see you reacting to more anime stuff, though I haven't really kept up with Dragon Ball since DBZ finished. On another note, since you have reacted to both Yakuza and anime figthing games, I thougth about suggesting a little combination of the two. Game's called "Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise", it's basically a combination of old martial arts movies and Mad Max, inspired on an old manga (Released around round 1980's) and made by the same developers as the Yakuza games. The video I would recommend checking out is "FIST OF THE NORTH STAR : LOST PARADISE - ALL SECRET TECHNIQUES (WITH BOSS CUTSCENE)"

The little pink guy is Kid Buu. He blew up earth his first appearance, destroyed the universe, then went to HEAVEN to put hands people in the afterlife. 😂😂😂 Dude is epic.

Oh wait, I do have a tidbit for you: The little Goku in the blue shirt? He's actually older than Adult Goku. In the future, one of Goku's old villains made a wish on the Dragonballs for Goku to be small enough for him to defeat, so the Dragonballs reverted Goku to a child body but with his adult mind, memories and strength.

Glad you guys thought Android 17 and 18 were cool. I first started watching Dragon Ball Z during the Androids Saga and then seen every single episode of each series they had. The Androids and Cell Sagas were my favs! Vegeta and Android 18 are my fav characters. The bikini girls you seen were a PC mod someone used lol but the pink one is Android 21 and the other is a fusion between Kale and Caulifla, 2 sayians merged into one to become Kefla. Sometimes you can tell who fused with who by their names. Goku and Vegeta fusing with earings you seen are called Vegito, Goku and Vegeta fused with the Fusion Dance becomes Gogeta. Their outfits change and personality, Vegeito is more Vegeta, and Gogeta is more Goku!

Long story short, android 21 (pink lady) also has some majin buu powers (the first, chubbier form of that insane pink kid) and one of those powers is literally transforming creatures to sweets, in order to eat them

I still laugh when i see the modded costumes like Keflas XD. You can tell what was on the modder's minds at the time XD.

The orange costume is a uniform from master Roshi school, Goku Krillin and Yamcha are his students and goku’s sons wear it to honor their father

That's guy in the battle armor is vegeta he's basically gokus rival his brother has way longer hair

A fusion is a combination of the two fighters. The look of the fighters is combined and their power is multiplied. The way Kefla and Caulifla fused were with the potara earrings. Which are basically earrings that the supreme kai (gods) wear. Fusion is usually permanent if you wear the potara, but only if you are a kai. Otherwise, you have 30 minutes. The other way to fuse is the metamoran fusion dance. The fusion dance needs to be done exactly right otherwise, you'll fuse into a lesser being (being too skinny, too fat, etc). In order to do the dance correctly, you need to have the same power level and equal size. So if someone had more power than someone else they'd need to lower their ki exactly to match the other persons. When done correctly, your length of time is around 30 minutes depending on the amount of ki used.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames The only thing I would advise is (I say this to most new DBZ fans) to do not focus too much on the story aspect, but focus on the characters themselves. If you focus on the story too much it will NOT make sense. but enjoy the characters for what they are because a lot of them don't get the star-shine that Goku and Vegeta get.

Just to clarify, Goku's brother(Raditz) and Vegeta are two different people but they are from the same race. The difference is Raditz is tall, has long, spikey black hair, and wears black armor. Vegeta is short, has shorter, black hair that spikes up, and wears white armor. Also, Raditz isn't relevant for very long but Vegeta is.

if you want to have a great time while also understanding DBZ, I'd recommend playing through Dragon Ball Z Kakarot, it's easy to play, not too hard, fun and explains the story well, it's too bad they don't include some key scenes like Vegeta's Final Flash in the Cell Saga, but it's still fun to play none the less!

the versions of vegeta and goku fusing when theyre small, it isnt them, its both of their sons.

Family tree is, Bardock is Goku's dad, Goku is Gohan and Goten's dad (who isn't actually in the game). Vegeta is father to trunks. Cooler and Frieza are siblings. Kid Buu is fat Buu but kid is the original form (he's millions of years old). 21, 16, 17, 18 and cell are andriods. Videl married Gohan and had pan. Also everyone with Goku's hair except Goten, are technically still Goku ( zamasu aka Goku black(hence the black robe) is confusing to tell)

Vegito is with the fusion from Earings.. and is more of vegeta personality , Gogeta is from fusion dancing.. .and is more of Goku personality :D

Not sure if it was said but android 21, the pink chick, is the android(not really robotic but more like genetically enhanced they just call everything androids) kefla, the chick with the green hair and a fusion of the 2 girls, isn't actually an android. They're Saiyans from a different universe.

So, there's a lot that this video alone will never explain. There were at least 4 different Gokus. Base Goku, Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Kid Goku (who rode the dragon, named Shenron), and Ultra Instinct Goku. Vegita's forms are easy to distinguish (and no he's not Goku's brother, think of him as General Zodd while Goku is Superman) Now Gohan, Goku's oldest son, had 2 forms. Teen Gohan, the one that wore purple, and Adult Gohan, that went against Picollo. Goten, Goku's youngest, only shows up to fuse with young Trunks, Vegita's son, to form Gotenks. Then there's Future Trunks, the one with the sword and the two splitting hairs that Beth points out. There was Goku Black, the one that said snuff and had basically Psylocke's power. Fat Kirby, is actually Majin Buu, Majin Buu has forms. The smaller one is actually Evil Buu, while Fat Kirby is Good Buu. About fusions, two bodies are made into one and create a new being. Hard to explain, just know that when you fuse your mind is one, you both have control but neither is you anymore, if that makes sense. There are two fusions, the fusion dance, where the two fighters do a synced movement dance and touch fingertips to fuse and can last to 30 minutes, and the potara earrings, where the two fights have to both wear one earing to fuse and can last forever if you're a certain race, or 1 hour. There's a lot to explain about the two fusions, but I'm not entirely knowledgeable on the differences except the time limits on both. Unfortunately the video didn't have the names present and missed some of the more newer characters, suh as Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, possibly the best (before non-canon) character ever made.

I can’t wait for you guys to react to Dragon Ball Z abridged. You will never look at the original anime the same again. But in a good way. It is hilarious.

when goku and vegeta use the earrings to fuse vegetas mind set is more dominant over the fusion where as when they do the fusion dance what the kids did aka gotten and trunks gouks mind set is more dominant

Whenever fusion occurs in dragon ball they become a whole new character who has qualities of both for vegito he tends to have a more dominant Vegeta personality with gokus goofiness added too the mix while gogeta tends to have a more dominant goku personality with vegetas seriousness and urge to wrap things up in a fight

That's Majin Buu. There are many different versions such as the very fat one in a purple cape. This kid buu is original buu and very dangerous, so dangerous that he actually blew up the earth without hesitation. What you see him blowing up is the whole planet just like he did with earth. And if you're wondering about Buu being blown up, he can regenerate.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames he was born pure evil, has no control with whatever he does, not smart but he's able to easily master any technique from anyone like Goku's Kamehameha. When he found out that Goku and the others escape from earth being blown up by a telephone technique, he quickly mastered it and went every planet looking for them. When Buu couldn't find them he just kept blowing up planet after planet and reforming.

Abridged isn't a shortened version of Dragon Ball Z it's a parody. You are better off watching the series> Dragon Ball Z Kai would be the best way. That's not Goku's son that's Goku. In GT Goku becomes a kid again. No that's not the fat guy's kid it's later form of the Fat guy
