@@CutTheCrapAndKissMe Denis started out doing vocal covers on KZread. He was heavily criticized for doctoring his vocals. He then formed an Asking Alexandria rip-off band (as all new metalcore bands were back then) named Make Me Famous. They released an EP, got signed to Sumerian, and everything seemed great. They released an album and started touring. A little down the road, however, Denis was kicked out of the band for stealing money from the other members because he felt like he deserved more since he was the primary songwriter (all bands have a primary songwriter). So after that happened, he went back to Ukraine, joined a band called At the Ruins (he previously featured on their song "10000 Miles"), changed their name to Down & Dirty, and again, signed with Sumerian. They released a few songs, and that was that. Danny left Asking Alexandria (also on Sumerian), and Denis-when offered the position-threw Down & Dirty under the bus for the better band with a bigger name and a larger paycheck. They do their thing, they release The Black, and it is what it is until Denis disappears and refuses to pick up the phone. He then texts Ben saying "Asking Alexandria does not exist unless I get [my money]". Again, he felt entitled to more money than the others. That is Denis' problem, and has been the reason for his exit from so many bands-he is greedy. He always wants more. There is never enough money for him. That is the drama surrounding Denis Shaforostov and his entire musical career. Now, he has started Drag Me Out, and is-yet again-signed to Sumerian.

This guy is so talented. If only he was focused. He would be so successful.

@@RomanSwak this was literally a running meme for the longest time when he was with AA. He was being a greedy prick saying he wasn't being paid enough. Ben said in many interviews that they would get into arguments, Dennis would ignore texts, and even missed tours. He was a class A dick head.

I'll be honest, I've been following Denis since his KZread days before Make Me Famous. I've literally supported every single band he's been in and used to be one of my favourite artists. Every band he left, there was either a good excuse or a screw up between the band members, fair enough. But I do feel like ever since he left AA, I completely lost trust in him. That was kind of the drawing line for me, and the fact that he gave a half hearted reason for his departure made me wonder if he's really in it for the music, or literally just money. I felt like not only was he screwing over AA who needed him (obviously not anymore since Danny came back) but also his fans who support him and make an effort to follow him. This is the last time I'll support you Denis, and if this doesn't work out, man have fun with the rest of your projects hey.. On a positive note, I think it's good you're changing up your style a bit man, solid song 🙂

I think him leaving AA made both sides better. I'm sure alot of people though of what would happen if Danny came back and there is the answer. I feel like where Denis is now with the 2 ex Down & Dirty members lets us hear that more hardcore riff stuff that really lacked in the Black (imo) since all Ben and Cameron do is Pre-Chorus - Chorus - Pre-chorus - end.

Just think: if your best friend does something really stupid and is an asshole sometimes, you tell him/her that it's wrong right? That's why we're still by Denis's side. We may not help that much, but we're here to support him through thick and thin. (and if my English is a wreck, I'm really sorry, I'm Hungarian.)

This is literally the best song Dennis has done. He puts passion in singing the lyrics and the chorus is so heavenly such that it gives a beautiful sense of relation and comfort

Alrighty... so real talk. How long will this one last until he leaves? Denis is ok musically, but the guy is just constantly chasing trends. First he followed Crunk Core (yeah, he did), then went into Make Me Famous trying to capitalize on the Asking Alexandria sound, then went to Down & Dirty for the Of Mice and Men/TDWP sound, then joined AA to go on the BMTH sempiternal route (The Black was a bit generic) now he’s doing the new generation of Bring Me the Horizon. You know I think I get the problem now... the guy is trying to chase trends to be the big thing but leaves a band in the dust when he wants to chase a new trend (well, 2 Ex D&D members are here anyway). Dudes gotta stick with something.
