beautiful hearing the early comments now to see how it panned out!
Nyxborn Hydra is completely ridiculous as a common to me. Reads more like a rare
I love the comment about tri-land cycling and legibility. That was my exact experience at pre-release, using the symbols to parse what was going on. To the point that when someone cycled one for the first time it was actively jarring and confusing until I re-read them.
The fairly pushed [[Galvanic Discharge]] vs the not pushed [[Aether Spike]] I think should show that he’s correct that control/reactive strategies will struggle. WOTC hasn’t really pushed control cards much lately for draft.
I casted Emrakul six times at prerelease. Clearly the format is sweet.
This gonna be a wild Tuesday, thanks for the report!
I greatly enjoyed my prerelease, though I was effectively forced to play white green aggro by my rare suite. thanks for the content, I think for the most part your findings support my vibes so far as well. Green red has a disgusting pipeline in common-uncommon-rares and can lean on any of the three other colors to splash their rares - though I expect blue or near monored to dominate, depending on where you got your interaction. I am sceptical that GBR will be the best deck, but it might be that the removal suite does it.
Great video! And, do I see a Dungeon Petz and a Clank! in the background?
Oh, and something to react to (if it matters): it is either 172 or 173 so the title or the thumbnail is incorrect.
