Thank you so much for your video! When I was removing the 'piston head on the shaft' parts, they got stuck on the thread at the end of the shaft then broke loose and flew out of my hand ending up strewn across the floor🙃. I ended up with a handful of jumbled up washers and no idea what order they should be stacked in 🤔. It isn't shown in any manuals or anywhere online that I could find, but from your video @4:21, I was able to determine the order as you pushed them onto the shaft bit by bit. Thanks for doing such a detailed video of this rebuild! I'm actually fully rebuilding a 1990 DR350S now that had been stood unused for literally decades, so your videos have been super helpful 👍
Again, excellent tutorial. Thanks. To whom is asking wether buy a new one or rebuild the old: I made a few rebuild on our Honda Africa twin's XRV650 and now DR350 with rebuild Kit from Dawid&Marta's and I am happy with.

You are a pro !

Excellent tutorial. The bladder on mine is leaking. Hopefully I can fix it.

When bladder is leaking oil it may be nesesery to replace it. When it is leaking air it may be sufficient to replace Schrader valve core. Good luck!
WHAT is oil using in this video ? thanks for all your tutorial

Good video, what oil grade you used in the video ?
Do you know when the rebuild kit will be back in stock?
Hello! Great video thanks for sharing! I wanted to thank you, inspired in your videos im finishing my own DR 350 rebuild and enjoyed all the process. Would you please tell me the torque you applied in the rod nut? its 35 Nm,kgm or ft.Lbs?

Abrazo y suerte
Nice work. What's you opinion on 90s Honda stuff vs. new budget shocks like YSS ? There's not many people that can service old shocks, but i've read quite a lot of bad things about YSS and Hagon .. not sure which way to go with my XL600V .. many thanks.

Hi! I've never heard about Hagon. Let's say YSS is more popular in Poland. Some Africa Twin 750 users bought YSS shock absorber and it's ok for on-road riding. But there were couple reports where new shock absorber failed just after couple "light" off-road rides. Second thing is that YSS for XRV750 is without reservoir and without compression adjuster. I think it is good to rescue old shock absorber if it is possible :)

@@DawidMartasMotoAdventures Thank you. If was just a general dilemma, older Japan or lets say YSS. More times i've read they leaked after 1-3 monts..Sure, i would prefer maintaining original parts, but i don't think i will be able to service shocks any time soon ) and don't know anybody here in Slovakia (btw your DR is from there, right ? my Transalp is from Poland..)
@DawidMartasMotoAdventures

Yes, this DR is from Slovakia, near Austria border :) I think there must be a service somewhere. Often you can send the shock absorber to company and they will service it and sent back to you, so you don't need to drive there with a bike. I hope that Transalp is working ok :)
why don't you check the o ring under the piston ring? also any video of how to install a new piston ring? thanks.

Yes, we missed this one. Maybe next time we will check it :) You can check wideo with XR400 shock absorber: Removing piston ring: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hHV_k6qLpqaaYrw.html Installing piston ring: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z3x-2duGqaTTpaQ.html Basically you need special cone like tool.

Był pomysł zrobić lepszy voice-over, ale to zabiera stanowczo za dużo czasu ... i zostało jak jest. Tak nawiasem zawsze uwagi co do języka angielskiego pochodzą od Polaków :)

@@DawidMartasMotoAdventures Bardzo fajny tutorial, też mam DRkę i oglądam wszystkie wasze filmy ! Powodzenia
