Adam I have always enjoyed your covers of amazing recordings, not only do you faithfully reproduce the tone but also the feel. But this demo shows me your original musical direction , very nice and sophisticated . I appreciate the insight into your musical direction .

Pedals are in front of the amp, but there's an Evantide H9 hooked up to the mixer. Idea comes from the Larry Carleton thing where he'd mic the amp to a mixer, have effects in the mixer, and send that out to 2 powered monitors, wet signal. I used to do that in a band I played in and it was a ton of fun. Thanks!

Love the tone from that FAT STRAT! What is the Yamaha keys? And are they Brians or yours? The Hammond and the Yamaha.

Skinny strat helped by fat amp! Keys are Brian's.

What’s your favorite Dr Z you own? And how would you describe the EZG?

I don't really have a favorite, because it seems to change all the time. Some thoughts though... EZG - I'd say it's that clean blackface tone, but in spades. Doesn't have that ice-pick thing a lot of other BF styles have (deluxe, 140, and Bassman are my fender BF amps, and they all have that ice pick thing). Great Marshall type tones with the revival drive pedal. Reverb is the best I've every heard in an amp. Having said all that, I tend to play this one the least. Maz 18nr2 and 38nr2 - I prefer the extra clean power and headroom of the 38, and it's quite a bit warmer than the 18. 18 is great though, no complaints. These amps have some compression in them, maybe partly due to the tube rectifier, but not over compressed, and they are just fun to play. Marshallish styles (EMS, Remedy, Antidote) - EMS is most versatile. The other 2 are non master and in general feel really pure and have a LOT of complexity of tone. They are also really loud, like you are over drummer level still playing very clean. They sound fantastic clean and low too, but just wanted to give an idea how much power they have. Kind of growing up on Marshall type tones, there's something special to me in these amps. The EMS on the 800 side with the gain pretty low sounds a lot like a really cranked up old Marshall and that is a super fun sound to play. In general though, these are really not bedroom amps. Ghia - if I just want to play clean and not very loud, this amp is my favorite for that. Lots of complexity in tone, and has something "full" about it a low level. CAZ45 - this amp is fantastic at higher gain sounds, and at any volume. It's not a Marshall type sound, though you can kind of get to that modded Marshall sound. It's different, and probably most like a Carol Ann, but I've never heard or played one of those.
