Dr. Tyler, as a national APA referee it would be best if you did a bit more research and then took down this complete misinformation. But as you seem fond of cheating I doubt you will.

I seem fond of cheating? If that's what you get out of the sandbag videos and this one, you are extremely mistaken. All of the videos are clearly banter, and a mockery of Dr dave billiards. It even states the videos are banter in the description. These videos are to make fun of all the cheating and bagging that goes on in my personal league, and my league operator does fuck all about anything, takes payouts to keep people at lower SLs. Clearly the reason we have 6 players in Vegas right now who are "4s" and "5s". I'm the last person to call a cheater, I pride myself in getting better every single day. I'm the only person I know that's gone from never playing pool ever and being an sl2 to an sl6 in 18 months with practice and treating this game like the sport it is. I love this game and respect it, and I'm here to make people laugh at the ridiculous mfers that shark leagues and to put a smile on people's faces. So in closing, Mr John Blue, since you are a national APA referee, I encourage you to watch my sandbagging videos and use them to your advantage in reffing the championships this week.

Can you explain why this is complete misinformation? I don’t see how any of what he said is illegal. When APA makes bullshit rules to make the game easier, this is what happens. Sort of like intentionally fouling in basketball to give a free throw, then get the ball back for a potential 3 pointer. Using the rules to your advantage is not unsportsmanlike. If you don’t like that, change the rules.

Please help me with a situation via a APA league play 8 ball game. One player during their turn layed their cue on the table without holding or touching it, then as a alignment tool they proceeded to walk all around the table looking at both ends of the cue as it was lying in between the cue ball and the object ball. Is that legal in APA?
Alternate title: "How to Get in More Barroom Fights"
You do that and are on my team, you will not play again and will be kicked. Play with integrity all the time.
At the cost of sportsmanship violations and people leaving I guess I wouldn’t mind “accidentally” sliding my ball out of some tough spots while in play especially for cash games. Thank you Dr. Tyler
@Dr_Tyler

😂😂 oh no
There's also rule 4g about "accidentally hitting the wrong group", which seems to imply that *both* players can pocket the 8-ball to win the game as soon as *either* player's group is finished (making legal contact with the 8-ball gives you control of the finished group)
The 8 ball rules suck off the break. Having to take what you make if you make one side. Being forced to take stripes if I make a stripe. What if I have no shot on them and the layout sucks? It’s basically penalizing you for making a ball on the break
@procrastinator6902

What's most ridiculous about this rule is APA rationalization for it. They think it gives a stronger player an unfair advantage by being able to take the better sitting set if they didn't pocket one on the break. But what happens in practice is what you said: A player often just ends up having no shot and sometimes no way to contact one from the set they pocketed. So a player is penalized, sometimes by being forced to give up ball in hand, for the randomness of how the balls ended up on the break. This is by far a bigger disadvantage (and a much more common scenario) than a stronger player getting to choose their set, considering that in order to make the choice they still have to legally pocket a ball from that set.
I dropped out of APA after they allowed two teams to play a match for 12 hours.

LOL, if you accidentally move a ball-you loose your turn.
Love your videos This is the reason why I quit pool. Too many leagues making up their own rules.
APA 8-ball - Racking: 8-ball in center (3rd row) rest of the balls can be racked "IN ANY ORDER" which means Pattern Racking is legal however it's illegal in 9-ball since it has to be " in any RANDOM order".

Corey duel 8 ball rack🤔
@Seri-Katil
Жыл бұрын
@@Dr_Tyler not exactly. All lows on one side and all highs down the other. Angle the rack slightly pointing away from the side they normally break from or leave the 3rd ball slightly loose (not touching the 8-ball) on either side. These will result in more dry breaks allowing you to run a rack more often.

my favorite kick at the rules is when I am on the practice table and I get hooked. I can't jump the cue ball that's illegal but I can scoop the cue ball by "accident"... oopsies
@procrastinator6902

It's not illegal to jump
You didn't read those rules very clearly. Balls that are knocked on the floor are the balls that go to the foot spot, not pocketed balls. Those would be replaced by the opponent. Pro matches play with a rule thats a similar scenario: Any ball that drops 5 seconds or more after the cue ball has stopped rolling, such as pocket hangers, are put back where they were. Turn continues as normal for whomevers shot it was before the ball fell.
'heres hoiw to take advantageof APA rules, Since its a slop game hit the balls hard and if you miss it may still go in some other pocket. Do I win?
While these are all legal I wouldn’t do them to people you play with a lot or respect just out of respect for them and yourself but appreciate the tips thank you

That ball would spot back where it was not on the foot spot. It wasn't knocked off the table by your shot.

The video is complete misinformation, drew is correct and "not a Dr Tyler" is wrong. Section 8 is "Balls on the floor" where you spot at the foot spot, there is no off the playing surface. Section 9 "accidentally moved balls" requires it to be put back where it was. Section 7 for "pocketed balls" Note 1 special talks about stopped balls accidentally falling in the pocket being placed back on the pocket edge where they were, NOT in the foot spot.
I'm not a fan of cheating to win. I want to beat someone, not cheat someone.
Hmmm, not the APA rules I was looking for.
