Our history books must be revised to depict true history and must discard colonial narrative. These reforms must happen at urgent pace before counter narrative gains upper hand. Changes in demography must be addressed on war footing before situation gets out of control.

Rewriting Indian history is an impossible task. For example we have fractured loyalties even among Hindus based on caste and community. Dalit wants to believe that Brahmins were foreign Aryans. DMK minded Tamils hate everything that is Hindu. Maratha community want to call Shivaji, secular because Brahmin historians call him a Hindu King who fought for protecting Hindus and for establishment of Hindavi Swaraj. In Maharashtra, Peshwas are branded anti-Dalit, not as Hindus who took Maratha empire up to Peshawar. Hindus are so badly divided that no consensus can ever emerge about writing even a Hindu history.

It is always a pleasure to hear Dr. Swamy but this speech is simply stupendous. And what a knowledge does he have about Indian history, polity and society.

I have never seen such great intellectual man,. Swamy is great. I feel sorry for BJP Govt for not making him as FM.

One of the best speeches I've heard , and really hard hitting. Some new information as well. Thanks to my exposure to dharma, Sanskrit and Tamil history, even in my school days I never was convinced with the history stuffed on us. Never could see Nehru as an inspiring figure even based on the dished out history. He was the first of our self serving politicians. And, I have expressed views on web that the Trojan horses left by British in the form of Congress, Media, Christian funded Dalit leadership( mind you, not those poor people who are kept in dark still about the fact that it was really the colonial force which inflicted poverty and social segregation on them , and not the Indic culture as their leaders brainwash them ) is out to complete the unfinished task of the 1000 years of alien rule. Having said that, Swamy must know that BJP has disappointed we the proud Bharatiyas, by not acting decisively on the cultural, educational and religious fronts despite winning a landslide majority. Look at the Kerala CPM govt, already including question in the KPSC exam on the women who entered Sabarimala!!! the way they suppressed their own people leveraging a bad verdict on a petition by few north indian activists!!! that's how leftists and Congress move. It is a shame BJP could not even put an intervening petition before the SC before and after the verdict. Even if they had commissioned preparatory work on the re- drafting of the history taught in schools, creating Indic courses in university, promoting scholarly work on evolution of our culture, legislaturevto free our temples from government influence and preserve hindu practices, it would have boosted the confidence about things changing on ground over the next 5 years. Without such demonstration of intent, I'm sorry to say Swamy's speech however factual appears a mere ranting at best and election gimmick at worst. Rajiv ji, ( if you at all read comments) , The grand narrative for this country is that we the people of Bharat are the proud inheritors of the most holistic way of life humans ever conceived, based on respect for all creation , animate and inanimate, celebration of diversity and pluralism without stepping on each other's toes and seeking for divinity within self and others. If we succeed in instilling this in our children , they will no more run around with inferiority complex nor out of context chase the western concepts entirely superfluous to a culture which transcended long ago the challenges facing the west. The real challenge is To wake up our western influenced , Bollywood pop fed part of Hindu population - most if our upper middle class and rich elites don't care a damn about our heritage, unlike Japanese and Chinese. To get our Gurus commanding influence over millions of Indians ( often well heeled) to be more honest and direct in their teachings to impart our samskruti in entirety without ridiculingbany part of it - you preach raja yoga but don't ridicule bhakti yoga, be ready to support any part of samskruti in trouble no matter you follow it or not To get hindu renaissance warriors like RSS and Swamy to not mistake trees for wood.- you cannot conceive hindus as a monolithic group , Hindus will be always a flotilla of ships to be a force to reckon because of the grand narrative I mentioned before. Therefore respect and understand the nuances in their different practices to weave a beautiful fabric. Both Swamy and RSS completely missed out to call foul the trampling of Sabarimala tradition. They will earn respect and credibility by acknowledging the slip and working to correct it. Indic renaissance lies in nourishing every group of Hindu belief and creating a symphony rather than presenting a monolith which is Christianity's approach . Welcome healthy discussion around this . i have one suggestions that all VHS ( or any organisation that Dr Swamy thinks competent) should proactively take the initiative of translating his lectures, talks, discussions to Hindi. As there are many who have little or no hold on English wants to join his movement of renaissance of Hindus then he could do it. Then this movement will be even bigger and yield great result in the future.

I’m from London and recently heard ignorant Indians from the Sikh community in Britain spread false information about the current Indian government. There’s a narrative being portrayed that the BJP is an extremist Hindu party that’s persecuting Sikhs in India and committing acts of terrorism against minority’s. It’s sad because this is the total opposite of reality in India, but that doesn’t stop people from being mislead. I pray India continues to improve and show the world what a great country it is. Swami Ji some people (sickulars and anti national websites like scroll) say that although Article 48 says that cow slaughter should be banned but still it comes under directive principles of state policy and this therefore not enforceable. Is this argument correct? Jai Hind.
