Its almost like you would regret asking her a question because she'll make something so complicated sound so simple, because to her, people are simple. She knows we are still animals and we only have so many ways to protect ourselves, and the most protected are the most injured. The avoidant child is more injured than the anxious. As stan tatkin says, the anxious child has been to eden (but just not in a predictable enough way). The avoidant child has been predictably rejected enough to have given up very early. RIP sue.

Great discussion 👍🙏 I would like to add if i may, for me - astrological synastry and composite charts for anyone in relationships was a fantastic eye opener in my life. Really broke everything down in a way that was understandable. I can't wait to read this book with my husband!

I have a question, what if someone doesn't have much friends and doesn't have a partner? How can he or she feel that " I have some one's back"

Mbti shows Sue's INFJ type does heavily value emotional connection. But INTJs do not. They value a partner that values their freedom and independence.

Sue’s work is based on Attachment Theory which is probably by far the most agreed upon psychological theory central to human development especially for ages 0-2. EFT by S Johnson (RIP) is an attempt to repair the attachment injury experienced with early caregivers which reflects to adult life with insecure attachment types such as avoidant attachment and anxious attachment which would also cover the mbti profiles. As a side note mbti is a weak model of personality narrative, you may want to look up why.
