Dr. Jaishankar is being diplomatic. Although back on his mind he knws what Russia is doing in Ukarine is wrong. I think india should be happy and lucky to have wise and diplomatic leaders. Yes truth is important but for india to stand in such position needs to diplomatic like Dr. Jaishanker.

My inspiration and my leader Dr.Shashi Tharoor.

I am Indian, was studying Masters degree in SPbPU Russia. I can say that even my Russian friends never wanted this war. I feel very bad for how they are suffering in Russia. My Russian friends told me to go back to India. I dropped my Masters and came back to India, I went through severe trauma and so are my Russian friends. All I can say is nobody is strong, it just takes minutes to kill someone. After seeing the war what I truly want is peace in this world. Please. It is time that we all unite and leave peacefully in this world. We all are living on a single planet. I hope my words get heard. Please and thank you.

Shashi Tharoor is that one person who can put across his views so very eruditely without ruffling any feathers, who can smoothly and very efficiently convince people to look at his points of view, who has an in-depth understanding of the world politics but also the need for realpolitik, hold firm to his patriotic principles and overall, someone who does not demean or let down or put down his colleagues from the ruling party while making his stand. To think that such a person is being led by a man of the knowledge, mental capacity and intelligence of a 5 year old is an insult to all his achievements till date! Hope Mr.Tharoor understands this sooner than later because otherwise it is a great loss to this country.

@Aditya Phogat Tharoor, Rahul who had to run away from UP and other local Congress leaders need to hit the streets pan India wide on issues BJP has failed miserably. More than 100 million people moved from middle class to below poverty line in the Last 8 years, yet you hardly find any protest from any opposition party. If BJP would've been in Congress's place it would have painted the country in red only in this one issue. Aimlessly strolling on the streets by a person the nation has rejected won't help Congress to come back from oblivion. No wonder, Congress's partners are slowly distancing themselves from Congress.

Congress' main problem is the Ghandis. Let them go to Italy. They can take some of the money they have looted from India in all these decades. Even a fraction of that money will be enough for them to live without working for the rest of their lives. Let Sonia Maino take her famiglia back to Italy. I was a lifelong supporter of Congress till their chintan shivir in Udaipur.

Agreed with Dr. Tharoor that Russia will and should play a less influential role in India in the long run. But disagreed with the other speaker who said that EU will evolve stronger after the Russo-Ukrainian war, if loaded with problems like millions of refugees, Germany de-industriialization possibility, rebuilding Ukraine cost, etc..

The most important issue that should have been discussed here was how to immediately stop the war that is causing the loss of innumerable lives, untold sufferings of families displaced, destruction of uncountable properties , sufferings of people all over the world as a result of the cascading effects of this horrible war in which the cheapest commodity has turned out to be human lives. It is indeed very sad because 20 lives lost seem to mean more to us than the uncountable numbers of people including children being killed in such gruesome manner everyday. 😢

Reality: Sadly, India is dependent on Russia for the maintenance of 50%+ Soviet/Russian weapons in our Inventory.

Chinese firm Haier Appliances(refrigerators, ACs) purchased GE Appliances in 2016. GE the American Conglomerate has multiple subsidiaries (Healthcare, Power, Aviation, Lighting, etc..).. The double-standards claim is very weak. The reason other countries didnt come to the aid of India when they had clashes with China is because India has chosen to have no military alliances. No one helps them, and they help no one. Europe, North America and Asia ex-China are quite different because they were belligerents in WW2 which led to military defense alliances. Even though Ukraine is not in NATO, it borders 4 NATO countries, it is being invaded by the great power that NATO was founded to defend against, and the major Western powers induced Ukraine in 1994 to give its nuclear weapons to Russia in exchange for formal recognition of its borders. India has never engaged in such transactions. And finally --- there is a question of size --- India is a nuclear power big enough to defend itself, Ukraine is .....not.

What a waste being in a party that is really not for India.

When sovergn countries like Irak,Afganistan Libya,Syria,Vietnam,Panama were attacked by America ,why people of Eroupe did not react and when Ulraine seem being attacked by Russia,Now whole world shouts against Russia ,why not symbolically against America Why double standard.
