I am from Thiruvananthapuram. The transformation and the development which he made in Thiruvananthapuram is excellent. He addresses all the people at different societies. He is very humble towards people. He is a visionary man. If he becomes Prime Minister , he can transform our country into great extend.

@@nikhilprem7998 I can see why you’d say so. The society is a constant melting pot. The starts in education are evolving in the meta verse. Being in Kerala, I see the divides in society, a very fractured one in the past, have been patched to a large extent, one of the head starts, I’d suggest. Another was land reforms, which too has long ramifications. The economic stranglehold we’ve had on ourselves for a long time might be dealt with in the next decade, as we move beyond the mask of communism, and better leaders emerge. The Communist party’s hold on the youth in state schools and colleges where student politics reign will be neutralised by the time Gen Z takes over. The past has allowed us a better present, and I’m sure we’re moving to a much better one. Tvm is a place I love to visit. Great friends from there, living better lives today than 20 years ago. I think Kerala’s power lies in tourism and its co operative structures supporting a solid entrepreneurial spirit, of which our movie industry is a proud example. Far from the current reality is the reality we’re creating. Sorry about the late response, man. 😂

Shashi Tharoor's higher education wasn't funded by his parents he has studied on scholarships. But no doubt his parents have brought him up very well.

Just because he speaks English well doesn't prove him to be fit for PM's seat in India. What makes him capable of being the PM is he is intellectual. He mentions almost everybody's problem in India in his speech. He succeeds in winning the heart of his audience. Hope to see him the PM hope to see developed under his leadership. If he becomes the PM it will be the victory of democracy.

The first part of this speech was good but the latter part of talking bad about the Indian Government on a Global platform is not right! He should talk about this in our Lok Sabha or Raj Sabha...

Dr. Shahi Tharoor is undoubtedly a non-challengable matchless precious stone of India and if the country could place him at its proper place India will definitely shine better than any other countries as he is a young healthy personality with proper wisdom to take all wise decisions what has been taken by our former precious rulers like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, etc., in the past for development of India and also capable of analyzing India's financial, international and historical matters which could be understood by all forward looking personalities from his this matchless speech. Hope the people of the country will come forward for making for a proper decision for India's unchallengeable future.

I do not consider Shashi Tharoor as just an Indian, he is actually a global visionary citizen and I am sure India is lucky to get a visionary person like him.

Congressmen did a mistake by not electing Dr. Sashi Tarror as President of All India Congress Party. It would have been better opportunity to rejuvenate Congress Party if Sashi Tarror is elected as Congress President. A well read and suave personality like Sashi Tarror really deserves to be in the top post. He is Prime Minister material and I hope Congress Party will realize it sooner or later.

the answers to the questions by audience are genuinely worth listening to more than most of his speech at least this time around. (and Mr Shashi Tharoor desperately needs to come up with some fresh new jokes. He reuses jokes too much as anybody who has listened to him speak a few times will know)

America´s "Soft power",notwithstanding Hot dogs, mc.Donnald´s etc, is enhanced by hundreds of nuclear armed bases popularly placed all over the planet, the unwavering conviction that world hegemony is national property, and that God, (The same God of the Taliban?) whispers in the ear of the president, who is the axis of "Evil"; perhaps are the deciding factors for the popularity of that soft power.
