What is your experience with megavitamin therapy? Which vitamins do you use? How long have you been using them? Which specific ailments have you cured with megavitamins therapy? Do you ever get sick? What is your favorite vitamin and why? The reason I'm asking is because I am doing research on this topic. Thank you.

I'm 74 and have been using nutritional supplements for 20 years, moderately at first, increasingly as effectiveness became apparent. Here are some examples of success: 1) At age 63 I developed rheumatoid arthritis in my hands which threated to end my career as an arborist (tree climber). Certain supplements plus juicing fresh vegetables cured it (my hands are still good, and I still climb (part time). 2) At age 65 and again at 69 I had advanced Lyme disease (plus Babesia the second time). Both times I used antibiotics plus herbs and supplements to be cured. (The first time I was on crutches for 5 months. My knees were so bad, but they recovered 100%.) 3) At age 71 after experiencing chest pain for months I was tested by a cardiologist who said I was "on the verge of a heart attack," had "multiple coronary ischemia," and would need either stents or bypass surgery immediately (which intervention to be determined by one more test). I fired the doc, cancelled the hospital appointment, and elected to treat with only nutrition based upon my research, plus exercise. It took 18 months before my regular GP doc agreed that I was cured. 4) Exactly 2 years ago I noticed vision in my left eye was getting dim and unclear. An eye doc told me I would need a cataract operation "in a year or two." I found out that I am one of those who does not convert beta carotene to retinol (active vitamin A) very well so I was short on vitamin A. I began supplementing with cod liver oil and retinyl palmitate (along with vit C etc), It has been 2 years since the diagnosis and my eyesight is good again. I have not had so much as even a cold in 2 1/2 years. Favorite vitamin? There are many important supplements, but vitamin C is probably most important. (We humans are among very few animals that do not manufacture ascorbate (vit C) in our body so we need to get it externally. It is virtually impossible nowadays to get OPTIMAL amounts of C from our food, therefore supplementation. If you want more detailed information let me know.

My husband and I were caring for 9 children and this Doctor taught me all of this as we had some bad flus that went through Incline Village due to many airline pilots that lived there, traveling the world and coming back home between flights. All mammals synthesize Vitamin C except humans, guinea pigs and a small bat We must eat it or we get scurvy etc. He told me that they have tested rats by giving them poison and their Vitamin C Internal Production would increase up to 75 times normal amounts to fight the toxins. That is only one of the things it does.

It was only a few months ago I "remembered" to get back to Vitamin C that I knew can cure so many ailments. I had a flutter or murmur at my heart that was going 24/7 from April to November when I decided to take action. I aimed for 20,000 mgs and came close that first day and within several hours my flutter or murmur was totally gone - never came back. I've not got close to 20,000 mgs since, but lately I've been upping my dosage of health videos from one or two a month to all out Learning, and I'm getting good and taking 10,000 mgs of C each day and always on the lookout for foods to add it to. Well, soon after a day or two of 10,000 mgs, my allergic reaction to cheese disappeared. Even a pinch of cheese tossed into scrambled eggs would give me a runny nose and eye mucous, which I've had for about two years, and now totally gone. Funny thing is I never considered Vitamin C for some ailments that became part of "me". No longer good enough, I want optimum health, which apparently had not seen for about 60 years or so. I'm 75 now and turning this ship around - it's never too late. I only today began upping again my intake of C by adding two grams of C to each 16 oz bottle of water I sip on during the day; I also add 7 drops of Hydrogen Peroxide to the water, and maybe will look for something to make it taste good like a tspn of lemon. Dr. Cathcart is a gold mine of information on Vitamin C and other supplements too, obviously. I hope I can find more videos of him talking. He's great. Thanks for the video, better than a dumb movie anytime.

I don't enjoy it but mix about five - ten grams of pure ascorbate at a time in water and down it then have a glass of water to wash away the taste. Your plasma absorbs more liposomal so you may want to consider that (much more expensive). Sodium ascorbate is easier to drink than pure ascorbate so that's an option too.

I'm forcing my family to use it too, and pretty much anyone else that will listen (they all think it's too good to be true though). I've fallen down the Vitamin C rabbit hole, and with every new video I watch or paper I read, I'm in constant shock. It fixes everything. Viral and bacterial infections, poison, toxins, stress, mood... I'm also looking into making liposomal vitamin C which has better absorption than even intravenous vit C apparently.

His obituary has no cause of death. It says this: "Dr. Robert F. Cathcart III, world-renowned pioneer of high-dose vitamin C therapy and former Los Altos resident, died at Stanford University Hospital Oct. 17 in the company of his partner of 27 years, Alice Schenk. He was 75.” That suggests to me that his death was not unexpected, and so might have been due to cancer. Purely a guess. Whatever his cause of death, vitamin C didn’t prevent it or cause him to live unusually long.

While in hospital, doctors didn't allow his wife to take vitamin C to him. He contracted pneumonia, and every time he was shouting that he wanted his vitamin C, doctors denied it to him. In fact, they told his wife that they would sue her if she smuggled it in the hospital to him. In fact they kept him sedated because he was complaining too much. He was then in and out of the hospital for 3-4 times, his situation worsened until he died. Of complications from pneumonia. An illness which he CURED SUCCESSFULLY in others. The irony."

Linus Pauling was not talking about ascorbic acid which he did not use in his trials. Ascorbic acid is synthetic vitamin c and is made from GMO corn. It' has damaging effects besides any healing effects. Be sure to get non-ascorbic acid supplements, which are made from foods. It's more expensive, but can be taken in huge amounts and has no toxic effects
