@@ariannaxx if she is fostering them, and didn't adopt, she will be getting paid by the government every month. this seems to allow her to stay at home and drink and pop pills. mom shows responsibility by making her payment (that the court decides) every month.

This woman doesn't deserve children. Her sister is so much more mature than her sister. She made a horrible mistake, went to prison, worked on herself and recovered from her addiction. Her sister goes on abusing her prescription drugs and drinking, fails to hold down a job, and mentally abuses her nieces. And SHE'S the one who is supposed to be responsible enough to take care of children? This proves that having a criminal record does not mean that you are not a responsible and caring person, someone who has made mistakes, taken accountability and turned their life around. At the same time, not having a criminal record or a drug charge doesn't mean you aren't an addict/alcoholic, doesn't mean you are responsible, and ABSOLUTELY does not mean that you are a better guardian/parent than someone who has a criminal record and/or someone who has struggled with addiction. Not only does this woman deserve her children returned to her, this bitch's biological children have no business being in her custody. I pray they were all removed after this episode was aired.

You can see her surprise when it starts going downhill for her. I think she thought she could come on, trash her sister as a heroin addict ( she's an ex addict) and emerge the obvious hero. She deserves credit for taking the children in, but it should be an act of grace, not competition and ownership. Saying it would " kill me" if the children left is irrelevant. It's about them , not about her emotional needs.

Eh, I wouldn't even give her credit for taking care of the kids. She really comes off as the evil stepmother type. The only reason she took those girls was because she thought she would get all this extra money and she knew she could hold this over her sister's head. And once she did have the girls for a little while, she saw an opportunity to have free house cleaners.

I thought I was the only one, I watch all of them whether new or old episodes! And I have favorites too that never gets old to me, I learned so much through his show because therapy is not as accessible over her, still a very taboo subject, however my life changed because of this show.

She’s hammered!

The sister is nuts. There’s truth behind the claims because of how defensive she got and the fact that she said “well she’s a heroin addict”! She don’t deserve those girls. They need to be back w their mom.

It's not just alcohol, it is pills as well. Either pain killers or xanax or both, mixed with alcohol of course. The pills are what give her eyes that glassy wide pupil crazy look.

The old 'what aboutism deflection' move is proving there's some truth behind them saying she's an alcoholic. Her self-awareness and accountability are nonexistent, especially when she's still attacking her sister about being an heroine addict although she has proved she's clean and sober, has a job and was promoted within months, and has a stable place her daughters can come home to.

I would like to think that this woman is no longer the caretaker of any children. She is so out of it.

Tricia won back custody of her daughters a few years ago. Thank god!

She WAS a heroin addict, it is possible for people with addictions to change, is it nice that she was a heroin addict? of course not, is it great that she beat the addiction especially to one of the strongest drugs in the world? of course it is, people like her are the reason why a lot of people relapse because they never let them forget they had this horrible addiction and they constantly remind them of a low point in their lives, also she's clearly not one to throw someone's addiction in their face if she's got one

My husband isn't a drunk, but is something of a whiskey collector, and he's brought alcohol home with him. It's usually something that's unique, something he can only get in that particular location, or whatever. Which I can't imagine anything at the liquor store around the corner from Dr. Phil's studio qualifies. And before anyone says he's drinking it...I give up a lot of real estate in my kitchen to his whiskey collection. It's most definitely not shrinking.
