I think what they should’ve done is after destroying the security lasers like the original fight, I was thinking that there should be a cutscene, and then the real fight would begin, their health would be eight bars long. Four bars each, and they would switch every time they are hit. One N. Tropy will be doing the attacking, and the other will be like a supportive type. They should have a force field generated around the attacker and the only way to bring it down would be to send back a projectile that the attacker throws at you back at them. It should be done three times like with N. Gin. And four different phases: Phase 1: Dingodile Phase 2: Tawna Phase 3: Cortex Phase 4/ final phase: Crash/Coco And you would be able to use the quantum masks to gain an advantage over the N. Tropies. For the N. Tropies’ attacks, they would be similar to the fights in Warped and Twinsanity. Then after you beat them, then they’ll say “Curse you…” “Bandicoots.”

They kind of already did that with the Evil Twins bossfight in Crash Twinsanity.

@@koopatroopa7968 and so did they with Cortex joining the goodies before betraying them by the end of the game, in fact, there's a ton of replicas here from other crash games, like how they used the idea of 4 masks with unique powers from Wrath of Cortex.

I'll also say, I'd have loved if as you got further, the Tropies dialogue and animations got more panicky or frustrated, maybe even starting to argue with each other, similar to Warped and N Tranced where Tropy slowly throws a tantrum the more you pull apart his plan. I think this would maintain the idea that they're good at dishing it out but not taking it, but in a more practical way that doesn't leave for a disappointing boss fight.

This. This was the most disappointing battle in the game for me because Trophy's "Let's see what you can do as a pack" quote made me believe we'd have multiple parts of the battle as each character. But no, it was just Crash/Coco. Really wish they'd update it

N-Tropy and his female counterpart really should've been the final boss. Imagine the two of them, back to back with their own 4-Hit boxes; and you have to use every Mask, across all the dimensions to platform through their puzzles and attacks to defeat them.

The most cinematic boss theme in the crash series it also gives me ratchet and clank vibes with this boss theme

They're gonna crucify me for saying this, but i think the N. Tropies should have been the TRUE final bosses rathen than cortex

Apparently the whole point was to fake out the players (they even planned to have a Donkey Kong Country style fake credits sequence after the boss fight), but really I can see why, we follow Cortex the whole story, not Tropy. You want a Tropy revolved game where he puts up a ball buster of a final boss, play N Tranced.

My only main problem with the track is that the composer clearly knew they had to get the original N. Tropy music in there but it really comes off as a last minute decision where it's just the opening notes right at the end of the song and I really do wish they tried to incorporate it more.

I feel like they were just going for a completely different vibe for N Tropy this game, much more menacing and creepy, so they went for a more ominous 'epic' theme, rather than the original bustling tick-tock beat one that had "goofy type-A clock-man" all over it. Perhaps we can assume the rest of the track has riffs from what an individual theme for female Tropy would be. :P

Wait, what? Am I the only one hearing its leitmotifs sprinkled throughout basically half of the song?

I don’t know if anyone else knew this but apparently there was a cut third phase to this fight and there’s a concept art for it

For me personally this is probably the most iconic boss theme in the entire franchise. Due to nostalgia I have to place it right next to Neo Cortex's theme from Warped, but objectively this is much more grandiose and epic.

Y'know what I wanna see? I wanna see someone post a video of this song, and at the beginning, have voice clips from not only crash 4, but the original trilogy as well. As if to say, "Everything you've done as Crash/Coco up to this point? It's all been leading up to this.."

And yet, it's the easiest boss in the game and then Cortex takes over the scheme from there. Even in a time travel revolved game, Tropy's just not part of the big picture. XD

I'm hit and miss about it. It felt like the whole point was for the Tropies to be the eviller better smarmier rival to Cortex with little much else to them (like Squilliam or Butch and Cassidy). You kinda root for Cortex to one up them, to prove he's not so inferior. He's just way more compelling than them. I'd be up for something like N Tranced however, which actually ditched Tropy just being a foil and bully for Cortex and properly focused on him as a main villain. That sort of thing would be entertaining for a final boss.

In fairness it's kind of characteristic of the Crash franchise to NOT have the serious no-jokes boss be the centerpiece and instead go "Nah, let's do a wacky antic as the final act". :P

@@boshygamer32 I think the thing about the trilogy against Crash 4 is that Tropy and Cortex both felt like clownish menaces in Warped. Tropy going down early and Cortex trying and failing to pick up the pieces made sense narratively since both were threatening but their hubris came back to haunt them. Tropy lost his temper with Crash and went in too early, leaving the Time Twister vulnerable, setting up everything going wrong. In 4, Cortex is JUST comical and Tropy is JUST menacing. I think it's why the final boss feels like a DLC extra mission, because they weirdly gave Cortex the finale despite treating him as an inferior joke to "super serials" Tropy, and yet Tropy has a wimpy boss fight in the middle of the game, something that would have made more sense with his bumbling Warped self. I think I've overanalysed it though. Real reason is likely it's just a quick video game story and apparently Tropy's boss was cut down from the original concept.

@@e-122psi3 actually i think crash 4 had a lot of potential to become the best crash and every time i watch videos about it i get a need to play it but as soon as i start playing at least 1 level that need starts to fade away making me want to quit due to the pletorah of problems the game has

@@boshygamer32 Crash 4 just kinda reeks of pretentiousness, like the developers thought the series was just an okay idea for widdle kids, and they had to improve it by making it "hardcore", making it absurdly difficult and bloated, and adding swearing and action girls with tragic backstories. What? You play a video game just to have FUN and look at the stupid bandicoot? Grow up! :P
