I mean if you wear them for more than just school then they would be worth it, they may last a long time! But also I got mine from depop and it was a bit cheaper, maybe try that?

Depop is just an app to buy second hand clothes and stuff, you could also try ebay or facebook marketplace or op shops :)

Go to Buyshoes.com then search Dr. Marten. They sell every style every fabric every length. And for CHEAP. I just bought a. Velvet ruby red 8 eyes for$65 American dollars. The popular 6160s or some number the 8 eye black basics those are the only ones over $100. Really try the sight. You'll be on there for hours. Oh my favs for this month are my AC/DC ones. On the right toe is AC and half a lighting bolt on the left toe DC & the other half of the lighting bolt red and black. Cool.

I live near the woolaston factory in England ( the og doc martens factory) and they sell heavily discounted docs in their factory shop! Years ago prices used to roughly be £25 for shoes and £30 for boots although the prices have gone up.But you can still get a pair of brand new docs (sometimes deadstock) for £50 ish 😊

Interesting and fun!

There are 2 easy ways of torturing yourself with your own wardrobe. One is not wearing underwear under a superskinny jeans. The other not wearing socks with any pair of doc martins. Both will make you cry from pain within the 1st hour ;-) Anyway great shoes, I understand your love affaire, but they really are for cold climates. They take snow, they take pooring rain and they keep your feet warm. And they look great with winter clothes. ;-)

The only reason I can imagine why someone wouldn't wear underwear is because they didn't do laundry or if they're wearing one of those one piece things

I own 3 pairs and two of then are thrifted! my other one is from the kids sizes, wich is also cheaper!so if you have small feet, (I wear a us size 6.5 and a size 4 in kids docs) they could be a great option!

I have 55 pair of docs. I save all the boxes, so that whenever I move, I can properly pack them. I keep all the boxes in the rafters in my garage. My favorites are my black Wincox, green glitter Molly, and black Trevonna. Most of my docs are 1460s. Among my most special are the Year of the Rooster, Mark Wigan Kaboom, and Joy Division collabs.

I tried on my first pair of Doc Martens at a local shoe store today and maaaaaannn, I fell in love with them as soon as I put them on. It was the 1460 Nappa boot and it felt amazing on foot. Everything about them was amazing. I absolutely love the 1460's fit and comfort. I heard they become more comfortable as they break in so I am very much looking forward to that as well!

my favourite docs are the mary janes because im in year 9 and we all know aussie schools are very picky with their school shoes. all the leather lace up shoes and the t bars were very pricey and they didn’t last very long so i got Mary Janes because they last so long and they’re super cute they go with my winter skirt and my summer dress. I love this video and I’m also very obsessed with doc martens 💕💕

I love docs! I got my first pair when I was 12 and I now have 4 pairs. I have the cherry pascals (my firsts), Mary Janes, darcy floral shoes and (my newest) the vonda 1460’s (which have been put away until christmas). my only others shoes are two pairs of converse

In the Wander Years got the classic 1460s in cherry😄

My first pair were the pink and red flames! I got them to wear to the Elton John concert! I got a ton of compliments and I loved every second! They were comfortable right out of the box! My second pair I got used , they were also like brand new and I paid $60. They are the grey velvet with the floral top...love them!!!!

I got my first pair of Docs 5 years ago. They were a pair of black low-rise that I bought because they could be dressed up for work, or dressed down for casual life. Still have them! Wore them to death when I worked a retail job and I still bust them out pretty regularly despite how much my collection has grown since then. They've got holes in them, the soles are worn in and busted, the leather is super worn in, but they're the most comfy shoes. I have 21 pairs now, but that's largely because I shop in either the sale sections, or buy them secondhand on Depop. I'm a sucker for a statement pair of Docs over a basic pair, though a basic pair can't go amiss in my collection.

Just got my first pair of docs today. Also I love the new tame impala song as well!

I got my first pair (Airwalk Newton's in maroon) for $50 at Marshalls. I wear them to school and church all the time in the colder months.

In the Wander Years Surpisingly, they were about the same as breaking in the Chinese versions. The leather is definitely better quality, but the break in period was almost identical.

i have the 1460 leather ankle boots in purple smooth which are my go-to when i wear a dainty dress, i have the holly leather platform shoes in black buttero which go with everything in my wardrobe but i mostly wear them with mom jeans, and i have the 8065 mary jane leather shoes in black smooth for school! I love all pairs equally but i wear my holly platforms most often.

In the Wander Years Well, the first pair I gotten was the Newton’s, they were on sale so I couldn’t gave them up, the next is the awleys, they were cheap too.

do you think the jadons would look okay on size 9-10 feet? I feel like they would just look super clunky but i really want them!!!

I think yes... they look big on whatever size feet but I do think the larger sole evens them out more than normal docs. If you can try them on in a store and if you need advice you can always message me on insta or whatever!

Thanks! If I was going for something that lasts a while (style and age wise) I would go 1460 because they are always on trend. Although I do really love the look of jadons! They do have a 1460 Bex boot that has a slightly thicker sole but no zip. That could be a great in between 🤷‍♀️

hi!! I'm getting the 1460s in black soon, and i was wondering what socks you would recommend wearing with them in general? I know for breaking them in you should wear 2 pairs of socks and all of that, but i have no clue where to get socks to wear after i break them in. Thank you!!

That’s exciting! My favourite type of socks is like ribbed tennis socks if that makes sense. They stay up better than my other socks, sometimes they get eaten by my shoes haha

i have the classic 1460 boots in smooth black in a UK4, i downsized for these as the boots run a bit bigger but they were still a bit big, which i actually like and doesn't bother me. however i found a second hand but brand new pair of 1461's also in smooth black (which i have been wanting foreverrrr) and they are also in a UK4. would you say the 1461 shoe runs smaller than the boot in terms of sizing or are they the same? i just don't want to spend the amount i am considering just to find they are too big for me as a shoe, not keen on the clown shoe look hahah. sorry this is so random but since you have both styles, your knowledge would be much appreciated!

Yes they do come up pretty big right! Ok so this really depends, I also sized down in both I think I should be a size UK 7 but im a UK 6 in Dr Martens. My 1460's fit pretty good but are slightly loose as they are wide, my 1461's (womens) are nicely fitted... but I have had 1461's before that were unisex UK6 and they were huge on my feet and I even wore orthotics (I would say they are the same sizing as the 1460's but because they are tied at the ankles they don't slip off). So it really depends on the shoes if they are womens or unisex. I find you can kind of tell which is which because the womens ones are a very rounded toe and the unisex is the slightest bit more pointed if that helps! You could always go into a store and try them on? Not random at all, I feel like I know a bit about them so i'm happy to help!! Hope this isn't confusing! Thanks Grace!

Idk what to get cause my bday is coming soon I’m turning 14 and I’m thinking of getting the 1460 in smooth black or 1461 but idk which is better??

That is tough, they are both so rad and will last forever! It really depends on your style. The 1460s are always a great first pair if you want the total classic doc look but if you want something that goes with everything then go 1461!

I got the 1490s (10-eye ones) from a thrift store but I'm going to see if I can get a cobbler to cut them down to 1461s (3-eyes). They're comfy for walking but climbing or just walking on a slight incline.... Gahd the pain. It just folds into my calves.

Omg what a find! Yeah they should cut down real nice, have you thought about cutting them to 1460s because they may look better like that 🤷‍♀️

Yeah they can be pretty expensive! I always just try get them on sale or second hand. But yeah, thanks so much!! It means a lot! I love them too 😀

I rly like the patent lamper ones. They're the only pair of docs I have but they're sick

My oldest pair of docs are grey and super scuffed up so I wear them to hike in. I actually like hiking in docs! Also, I worked at a dog kennel where I needed nonslip work boots. I wore my grey docs and my boss said I needed better work boots... I was the only employee that hadn’t busted my ass on wet floors or got foot related injuries 😂😏 that manager ended up getting her foot fractured in multiple places from her shoes 🙃 Docs are the best

If you are going for the womens 1461s potentially you may need to size up, unisex ones should be fine, can you try them on?

Hi, just want to ask if you sized down with your 1460s? I just bought a second hand 1460 Crazy Horse (my usual size is 7US Womens) and I feel like they look a bit big on my feet? My 1461s are a size smaller but they're pretty snug with socks on.. Hope you could help! Thank you!

All of my Dr Martens I have sized down because they are pretty roomy and my feet are very skinny! My toes get pretty close to the end but they are comfortable enough. The 1461s are definitely tighter than the 1460s I have found though! Maybe if the crazy horse are too big but you want to keep them you could get another inner sole to put inside to fill them up a bit more?

i went to a thrift store yesterday and somehow happened upon a brown pair. i don’t know what kind they are but they’re the ones that stop at your ankle and they were only $2! they are a tad snug but they’re so cute!

I bought 1461 size 10 us and I think they just fit right cause I can barely make a movement or move my toes inside and at the back of the ankle there’s a little space. my question is, do they really look big on feet or are they meant that way?

They may seem big on your feet, I feel like everyone thinks that with doc martens but I can promise you they don't look big and they look so stylish and cool!

kids doc martens are around $60 i got some earlier this year n i loveeee them so much
