The gems only work in their own universe and Darkseid exists outside of the 3rd dimension, where the gems can't reach him just like Dr. Manhattan. Not to mention the Omega Beams can sanction him to and endless amount of lives where he dies in incredibly worse ways each time.

@Douglas Bull Yea doc is pretty power I'm still looking forward to see what he's gonna do in the next issues. Trust me though. Thanos with the infinity gauntlet is too much for Doc, because he has trapped several of the abstract beings and celestials that had sort in creating the multiverse.
