I think I get it M.O.T.H. Is an iterator who is obsessed with mutation and crossbreeding of different animals and believes they are the answer to the solution. They try over and over before mutating 2 types of slugcats 4 different times and coming of with specimens that only get more and more grotesque as they go on. They also seem to think they own every bit of their creations and don’t seem to care for their pain or feelings and only sees them as mere mistakes that have been given 1 lucky chance. I love the concept of an iterator gone mad with experiments trying to find the solution, compared to 5P just well, dying. This stuff is deep as hell and it’s awesome.

my head cannon M.O.T.H.s cluster has another experimenter, who only does observational experamintation, G.L.A.D.O.S. (i do wonder what one can do with THAT mouthful of a title it has to be) and she mearly watched his creations kill the ecosystem in time before perishing

Artificer an hunters horrifying combo

Mad scientist Iterator is such a cool concept to explore. Especially the connotations of making purposed organisms that are antagonistic to the other calculators. Naturally, the other Iterators would want to defend themselves, and you'd get an arms race of generations of purposed organisms meant to counter others. Quite the ecosystem that would make. Great stuff

Ok, the Hellion was a kind of gruesome that I could enjoy, but the Grigori is going to give me actual nightmares.

current vague ideas for how each would work ingame: the hellion: nuclear bomb spear, kills fucking everything, breath time worse than arti, drains oxygen of stuff super close with toxic smoke the hadal: bit slower than riv, hold throw with empty hand to saturate area in mucus and choke your attackers to death, creatures can be drowned on land if you mucus while held in their mouth, super good slide due to constant slipperyness the ark: permanently crawling and struggles to climb, huge beast nearly as large as a blue lizard, makes tiny slugpups that don't eat and attack prey/predators to protect the ark, similar to an ant queen generally, also could probably have like a 40% chance of being fine after a red lizard bite due to being L O R G E the grigori: can't fucking die, tongue is replaced with a rot tentacle that can toss creatures about (or just strangle them), injuries cause extra rot tentacles to grow for that cycle,

I love the whole using the purposed organisms for iterator v. iterator warfare. I love seeing just the genetically made bioweapon slugcats take down a giant supercomputer.

Monolith of the Hateful is such a fire iterator name oh my lord. Such a great video and I love the art for the diagrams as well. I LOVE the little notes in the ancient language its such a neat detail that I wish more people utilized.

calling gourmand an "absurdly obese specimen" is just perfect

holy crap this is so cool and inspiring... now i want to do this as well! love your art, great job as always! The way the art is drawn like a medical diagram makes me think that this isn't a digital transmition on a pearl... almost like MOTH had to create physical records to hide it from the local group. I don't know if that's intended or not but still - cool to think about!

Genuinely fascinating stuff, great work! I can almost imagine M.O.T.H. being similar to Ballas from Warframe.

I don't know why but I started laughing hysterically when you called Gourmand absurdly obese. I"m also sick so this caused me to start coughing. Anyways I absolutley adore the fusions in this video, they're awesome.

I can imagine the Hadal having an increased slide due to mucus, which would give it the fastest and longest slide of the slug cats.

this is the SH*T, the combo ideas have some insane potential for a more fleshed out story for each of them. hope you will flesh a few of them out

This is great, cant wait for more MOTH stuff. MOTH would be great friends(or enemies- now that I think about it, they'd probably start a war instantly if they ever knew about the other's existence) with Das's Distant Frontier. I want to shove them both into a container and see them fight.

this is such a dark way to fuse slugcats... i love it. this is so awesome, and the concept of the last one makes so much sense and yet it's terrifying.

oo actually i really like this If you decide to do another video like this, I think that the following slugcat fusions could provide some... interesting results >:3 Hellion+Monk (More stable version, but weaker) Spearmaster+Gourmand (How does it get all its needed food? It must kill many things.) Spearmaster+Nightcat (Efficient and stealthy sample taker, for exploring faraway colonies of creatures.) Artificer+Rivulet (fish... bomb?) Enot+Nightcat (likely a failure because Enot is unstable enough as is) Enot+Saint (likely another failure since Enot is unstable already and saint creates more instability) Enot Egg CHILD + Spearmaster (shocking) Arti+Gourmand (explosive chonker...) Arc+Spearmaster (Needles are secretly tiny babies that bite everything they hit) Artificer + Saint (violence + no violence) You don't have to use any of these, just some simple ideas i think would be cool :3

Neat, but I think useing Enot would not work, if I’m correct that thing isn’t even close to canon, like how the night cat could work but isn’t there directly.

I’d be crazy if we played as a normal Scug in this campaign having to kill other, hostile Scugs. Specifically the Bioweapon ones, just imagine encountering a Hellion or a family or Arks.

I mean- it would be cannonical that at least one Iterator went mad doctor after ancients KYSed, Pebbels somewhat went that way to remove the taboos from his genes. And since Speary is somewhat hinted as Seven Red Suns' beloved creation (one chatlog pearl states that Suns they are worried for Speary's safety and even wanna give them a name) - I can only imagine how traumatizing it would be to them to know that someone abducted one of their messangers to horrifically splice them Plus- love how you did do some implied lore for thei fanmade Iterator. The planning of basically commiting biological warfare with it's creations being the first idea when discussing the Arc as example
