PD Active aims to help people shift from having PD be an experience of disability, to be an experience of life. PD Active hosts well-attended speaker forums and roundtables with experts, sponsors exercise and movement programs, and convenes support groups for people with PD, their care partners and adult children of people with PD.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, PD Active has managed to stay vibrant. The PD Active calendar is full with virtual programs, classes and events -- more options now, during COVID, than have ever been offered. Each week new members, from the greater Bay Area and beyond, join the community.
PD Active was founded in the East Bay more than ten years ago and now serves a community of more than 1,500 people locally. PD Active relies on contributions to support our programs. Please donate: www.pdactive.org/donate.

Early on in the presentation Dr Laurie mentions that vitamin B12 absorption is reduced by Levadopa. It is known that vitamin B12 deficiency can result in dystonia. A few months ago I shifted to a completely dairy-free diet and have started to experience morning foot dystonia in the last few weeks. I've tried a Chelated magnesium supplement which seems to help a little bit but has caused mild gastric problems. After years of being on a diet high in dairy, is there a risk of a B12 deficiency in going cold turkey on dairy, like a withdrawal effect? Despite Introducing a regular morning smoothie as a potential compensatory measure, should I be taking a B12 supplement or go back on dairy?

Right! I figure our well water is way better then City water with chlorine and Fluoride. We live in Montana way up northwest corner.

Any time some starts off denigrating what when and what we ate to become human who, by the way, rarely, if ever, had Parkinson’s. It’s only since this whole “food pyramid” thing became a thing. I eliminated my PD about 3 1/2 years ago by doing an extended water fast followed by a carnivore diet eaten in OMD.

So freezing your own vegetables is probably fine (I guess).
