Found this: Dr. Josh Wandell, age 41, of Elizabethton, walked effortlessly through the gates of Heaven on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from the Greystone Healthcare Center in Blountville surrounded by those he loved most, after a courageous battle with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

@@UTAH100 irrelevant! Sometimes shit just happens and ALS is a case in point. Stop trying to make someone/something responsible and therefore sueable. If you Americans could stop seeing random tragedy as a way to make big bucks your country would be all the better for it.

I have my theory on ALS . The two states that have the most cases are Florida and California . Both states are near large bodies of water . Blue algae was know to be found in most ALS victims . This guy also say his hobby was swimming . The toxins in the water can be a huge contributer to developing this disease . I recommend that you never ever swallow ocean or fresh water and always use a filter and don't eat toxic foods . The cases are going up because of our diet . Just my theory and I will be doing more research on this

Connecting the dots to what exactly causes ALS seems to be SO many dots away! High iron levels in the spine? What about the cast iron skillets so many of us use? Low cholesterol levels - possibly because of statins or chronic overexercising? Does chronic overexercising heat the brain and cause long-term problems? Are low-fat diets bad? Is butter better? Is too much of one kind of fat causing an imbalance in others - lashings of olive oil when really oils should only be used in the same way one uses salt and pepper...sparingly? Is too much of one vitamin/mineral in supplement form causing a deficiency in others? Are supplements perhaps dangerous? Please let them find the answer, and cure, soon!

I'm not pushing religion - religion can do nothing - at least 4 times in my life - I was at the end of my rope - on my knees and crying (including losing my eyesight). Look up this verse - it goes something like "In my DARKEST HOUR I cried to the Lord - and He answered me". GOD BLESS YOU SIR!!!

I just wanted to share with you that God's plan was not for people to suffer or hurt. Originally god placed us in a paradise on earth. His intentions were for all human kind to live perfect lives without disease. From what I learned about the bible, god has not changed and still wants that for humanity. Hes got a plan in place to return the earth back into a paradise where we will see our loved ones healthy again. Diseases like these will no longer exist. In the meantime we are still suffering from the effects of imperfection. But soon we can jump up and greet our loved ones (Revelation 21:3,4.)

If God exists, he certainly wouldn’t be choosing people to have terrible diseases, that’s just life, it happens ... Children die of cancer and it’s horrific, and sad ... Life is just imperfect, and it will always be this way...

Having any illness--especially terminal--offers the opportunity to continue to love more and more. I feel sorry for those who curse God but whether God is cursed or praised, He remains the same all merciful God. Being all knowing, his infinite mercy is always present. The body must die all bodies must die. Death of the body form is not the enemy , you fight the disease and remain loving and caring. Love never dies and it's not a question of how long you live ( quantity ) but how loving you live your life ( quality). And this man is living Proof that you can remain radiantly and lovingly positive despite his crippling disease. How so blessed he is and what a blessing he is towards his family and friends. With such love , when he does drop his physical form and enter the other realm, ( Kingdom) God will see to it that he is well taken care of. Such glorious bliss and happiness awaits this loving soul. Love is all, Al

If I met someone who was suffering from ALS and it was within my power to cure him I'd do so in an instant no questions asked. In fact I'd travel the world in search of ALS sufferers and cure them too. It wouldn't matter a wit to me what color they were, or what faith or ethnic background or gender or sexuality or if they were rich or poor. I wouldn't care if they were good or bad and I'd ask nothing in return. Curing them and reducing their suffering would be my reward. Now lets contrast that with God. God didn't cure this man although he could have effortlessly done so. I suppose God is just being "mysterious."

sick that you in America need to be rich or raise money to get care. Its unbelievable to western orthern europeans. May I ask what you as americans get for paying tax? In the worlds best country Norway, tax money are ejected back to the people so they can be safe with free education and healthcare. This is the way it should be and that is why Norway is crowned the best country in the world every year. If the world would only learn from Norway the planet would be at peace..

Basically, as you've probably observed, much of US tax money goes to lining the pockets of politicians and their friends. The US is rapidly becoming an old European style aristocracy with filthy rich doing what they want, and the poor peasants suffering what they must with no middle class in between.

My grandmother passed away from ALS as well. I never strongly believed in anything, but the passing of her and my grandfather (who passed from Parkinson's disease) just affirmed my non belief. They were the most avid Christian people, good christians, and this is their payment for being a 'good servant'. My grandma went rather quick considering, but my grandpa was in hospice for a week...his body was rotting while he was still alive, he couldn't drink anything because he would choke, but he would keep begging for water. That was my breaking point. If there is a god, I think I'd rather burn in hell, because he seems like a really fucked up person/thing/spirit whatever lol

+ Amber Sigmon It is just the opposite atheists or nihilists, I don`t know how to call them are shoving down their beliefs into everyone, who will listen. Even when they are not asked or it is completely inappropriate, like here, when a man just went through an incredible tragedy with the help of his faith in god. It is like these people intend to take away the very last straw from that man , that helps him to keep on living. That is indeed hellish...

It's funny that people can get so offended that someone else has a belief in God. I wish that you would open your heart to God, and feel the love and peace he provides when you truly try to have a relationship with him. And for people that say that if there is a God, he would not punish man through disease and war...yet faith would be meaningless if it were easy. A Christian who has faith does not condemn God for things like this, instead they praise him for the things that they would have batted an eye to if not for a diagnosis such as this. You learn to see everything as a blessing even more so, and appreciate the time that you get to spend with them while you are alive. In the end, with that faith, you get to spend eternity with a loving Heavenly Father, and will get to see your loved ones again. Call me foolish, or that I believe in fairytales, it does not bother me any. I will continue to pray for those that refuse to call God into their lives.

It's too late. They have children together, and she loves this man. It's horrible to think about being a burden to loved ones, but I'd be willing to bet it would devastate her far worse for him to just walk out. Also, where's he going to leave to once he gets a divorce? The man deserves to spend the rest of his time surrounded by people who love and care for him
