Wilko is an original that can't be copied - and at the same time influences a wide variety of players. For me - that's where the rubber meets the road. Amazing character. Have to be him to play him - and he gives something to strive for. And check out the bass player, John B. "Sparko" Sparks playing pumping bass/rhythm guitar on the bass! The whole thing is a great kind of nuts. And they were high on speed. Crazy times. Ordinary lives don't make music of this energy.

Although Britain was called the sick man of Europe,it produced some of the greatest bands and music you will ever hear...thank God for the “Dole”-it allowed all these bands to survive and thrive!!!
