Dr Alfred Dawes welcomes call for probe into health sector

Opposition Spokesman on Health Dr Alfred Dawes says that while he welcomes Prime Minister Andrew Holness' call for an investigation into recent adverse reports concerning the health sector, such information should be readily available instead of being called for in times of crisis. He also called for an audit of the number of available intensive-care unit [ICU] and high-dependency unit [HDU] spaces in Jamaica.

Very well said and outlined, why can’t the other politicians speak so clearly and honestly.
Thank you Dr. Dawes I understand your sentiment from having my father die from lack of care in May Pen hospital. And as someone who worked in the healthcare system and see both the needs and the demise.
B.S. I was planning to return to JA but not with such horrible health system . Stealing medications, shortage of beds, no Ambulances, and such is horrific!!! Shame on you!
