I am so glad you finally reacted to this song! This is quite possibly the most vulnerable song Ian has EVER released. The crazy thing about this song is that MITO fully made on his own and Ian doesn't even remember making most of it. When Ian finally got back from that state of being Mito, he was left with this song and he decided to just release it as it was. Ian has said that SKINS is the most true representation of MITO in the real world and not in the story, just in Ians life. Also, Ian said that MITO went out and FILMED the MV with one of Ians good friends at DPR which is absolutely crazy to think about since Ian doesn't really remember it. Ian had an Instagram live like a couple days after making the song and he talked about the song, and really a lot of other aspects of life and meaning in that live. It's honestly so admirable that Ian is willing to let us see this side of his life. I can't wait for you to see the rest of Ian's discography and dive deeper into the amazing storyline he has created.

"I gave up long ago so you could dream it all, but now I stand alone" always hits me the hardest here Mito might be the emotional protector created by Ian's mind for safety, but Mito is still human

I enjoyed this reaction so much because I feel like ur one of the few reactors that really understands ian and what he's telling thru his art. I completley agree that this is the first time he humanized mito. Its probabaly becsuse mito is actually getting to express himself fully and how it feels to literally be in ians skin. I wanted to add often mito is portrayed in black and white to conceptualize how mito feels. However, here mito is in color just walking on the streets. It really puts into perspective how mito isn't just a character but he really exists. The line "I never asked to be like this" hit me sooo hard and I honeslty cried a lot the first few times watching this.

i like when you said that it feels, in a way, like the "dehumanization of a villain." i got reminded of what IAN said in the MITO documentary about So Beautiful. he said the song "was inspired by the idea that something so dark and sinister is actually something that's usually the most misunderstood." when i first knew about IAN, i also thought, "ah, so MITO is that 'bad guy' living inside of him?" but then i realized that i was wrong as MITO is actually his protector. just proving his point right.

Thank you for taking my suggestion and reading my comment! Even if you were going to react to it anyway. I feel what you've said at the end. I've liked Ian's music since 2021 because the lyrics resonated with me, specially his first album with Welcome to the Show and Scaredy Cat to be more specific. Never took the time back then to get to know him, not even how he looked like or a single music video, Just listened to all of his albuns on spotify. I was in a really dark time of my life back then and couldn't spare any time to search the life of someone I didn't even know personally since I couldn't take care not even of my own life. Fast forward to this year I found out through youtube recommendation that he released a song called Limbo. Thought it was funny since Iˋve always compared my state of mind to my psychologist as being in a limbo. Clicked on it and my mind was blown. Loved it to bits. Then went into a rabbit hole (still am) searching everything about his artistry. Found out he is bipolar type I, same as me, and it kind of made sense why I had this connection. The worst part is not even how much I missed throughout the years but that he was in my country during the tour, at a state near mine, and I had no idea. Now that I know the whole story sometimes I feel guilty to enjoy his music given how vulnerable he's being by sharing parts of his life that he really didn't need to. I would hate for him to feel like we're analyzing him like a specimen or a series and not a human. Then I remember how I used to go to work going through a heavy depressive episode while listening to Welcome to the Show back in 2021 and I feel that what he's doing is extremely important. Giving a voice to people with mental disorders, even if you have another disorder and not bipolar or DID. He said that for him Welcome to the Show is special and he'll perform it live for the first time at the last show of his career as an artist as a goodbye. And you bet I will be there. I appreciate him and his work a lot and I hope more people would see him as what he seems to be, a beautiful person and storyteller.

i love what you're saying in the beginning. i'm also someone who talks a lot! i can be repetitive and put too much details because i'm afraid there will be missing points here and there. perhaps that's why i enjoy listening to you talking no matter for how long you're talking because i can see your points. i appreciate that a lot! not to mention how you said that we're talking about a real human being here. i love that because yes, exactly! we need to put an extra care when we talk about real human beings, real feelings, real emotions and real experiences especially of those who are brave and strong enough to be vulnerable with us. we need to put our respect into what we're talking about. oh, i just- i appreciate you a lot! and that's why you're one of my fav reactors when it comes to IAN's arts.

I'm just so happy to see a reactor act with so much care and understanging towards an artist and their mental health, not making it a big "selling point" of the video nor abusing the refence to Chris' diagnosis. The respect and selection of your wording to explain what you saw and interpreted of the video and story was something so very nice to see. Thank you!
