DP/30: Sundown, Tim Roth
Фильм және анимация
He is one of the great character actors of his generation. In his latest collaboration with writer/director Michel Franco, Sundown, he explores a moment in a man's life who is mining a certain, if unclear, peace. He took a moment to chat with David Poland about the film and his career.

Love Tim Roth, loved Sundown. Could listen to him all day!
Finally saw Sundown. Really special and unique experience. Kind of similarly sparse but powerful elements which certain Michael Haneke films also utilize. Social realism, slowly building the cinematic world and environment, dry but extremely detailed tonal style, very emotional and just impressive dedicated restraint. I'm very interested in checking out New Order, Chronic and 600 Miles.
I love how thoughtful your interviews always are! Tim Roth is one of my favourite actors, this was a great watch.
i love this film and his performance.
Great conversation with a great, versatile actor. He's on a roll recently with "Bergman Island", "Sundown", "Resurrection" and MCU projects. Smartly balancing small, indie films with bigger stuff.

His characters have been dying film after film for years. Please, Tim. Stop dying already. Badly need a film where you don't die.
Genius 💙☮️💙
Tim did a great job playing John Christie in Rillington Place. ( BBC). He’s a terrific actor. I have been doing a few radio and online interviews recently for a film I’m a lead in and it’s really interesting watching these videos with other stars to see how I fare with them. ( I’m a stage actor so I’m not that experienced beyond radio promotion). Fantastic interview Tim!
