Tim Roth - simply put one of if not my absolute favourite actor(s) Lie To Me deserved more episodes, and a genuine finish to the 3rd season.

The legend of 1900 is one of my favourite movies of his. Such a beautiful movie. If you're a pianist or just love music, it's a must watch.

Absolutely love it too! My partner is Italian and I took her last year to this tiny island which was so special to me, all we could see around us was the sea. It brought her back to the original novella which was her favourite story, and the incredible adaption. She bought me the book which I read in about an hour, and I never thought they'd be able to capture that unique feel in the movie, and yet... Amazing performance, wish he'd talked about it!

Lie To Me was such an amazing show, and I was so disappointed when it was canceled. And Four Rooms was fantastic. Tim Roth is definitely one of my all time favorite actors.

@Poly.Stars33d when you watch four rooms, give it to the third story. first one isn't all that. second one is either hit or miss (i liked it). third and fourth are good. its a sort of anthology movie with 4 different directors and each story has a different tone. and roth pulls them all together. and yeah . . . lie to me deserved another season

I've watched most of his movies and all were amazing. But only when I watched Lie to Me that I truly realized what a brilliant actor he is. Lie to Me is probably my favorite TV show ever, and I do think that it didn't get the attention that it deserves.

My lady and I come back and watch it through once a year. Such a great show and Tim obviously carries the whole thing.

I believe the first time I saw Tim Roth was in Rob Roy. His character was so unbelievably compelling. I was attracted to him and revolted by him as well as moved by his pain and broken ness. He was one sick boy. Brilliant acting.

Yeah he's my favorite villain ever in that movie. Just the originality of the villain being not only a a fop, but a fop with TIM ROTH'S FACE, and Roth, freakishly talented as he is, making us feel bad about someone who couldn't be more disgusting. As bad as they get, yet complex. Bravo.

These are my favorite videos that GQ puts out. Just love hearing actor/actresses break down characters they played in past films and give little stories. Tim Roth is a phenomenal actor! Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, The Hateful Eight... Roth and Tarantino together make Gold!

Tim Roth was always underrated. I'm glad that Tarantino seen how good he was and always wrote characters for him that made big impressions on the viewer in such short amounts of time.

Whenever I see this man, I get reminded of Cal Lightman, and the fact that Lie to Me got cancelled. I still feel the same sadness that I first felt when I looked for the next season and found out that it was over. That show deserved so much better.

He has so many interesting stories about how he got a lot of his roles. Love the raw honesty he displays about his self-doubt, all great artists endure a struggle, not all people have the humility to acknowledge it. Great actor 👍

"R&G are dead" is an absolute MASTERPIECE - I Could watch Tim and Gary for hours.

I loved the script so much I bought it when in was in high school and performed a scene in college for an oral presentation on Hamlet.

Dude should've won some Oscars for Reservoir Dogs and Rob Roy. He's such an incredible actor. Very underrated too.

I was bummed when Lie To Me was cancelled. I miss that show.

What about, "Four Rooms"?!?

Upon my soul, I truly thought Roth should have received an academy award for Thade in Planet of the Apes. Yes, it was a lightweight movie, but as an acting performance - his was tour de force. I've NEVER seen a human actor breathe more life into an animal character - especially an over-the top, outrageous character - and have you believe it. Still in awe these many years later...

I worked with Tim Roth in a scene on Rob Roy. I had a very small role. Was a great day I'll never forget.

Tim Roth as Dr Cal Lightman will always be my favorite character he's played. lol and then to hear him say he does NOT want the ability to detect lies in his kids

So down to earth, comes across as a great family man too. Also remembering, naming and giving credit to people on the sets.

I miss Lie To Me. What a cool show. I honestly never got tired of his character analyzing people. I feel like they were just getting into the swing of things when the show was cancelled.

My thoughts exactly.

My mind was completely blown by The Legend of 1900. i stayed up watching it and then was too sad to sleep... No other actor's performance has affected me this way. Who else loves Tim in this film? And why wasn't it mentioned here? That got me really bummed, but i thoroughly enjoyed the rest of it, especially The Hit story. Made me laugh.

Bring back 'Lie to Me'! It was and still is my favorite show. I went and studied with Dr Paul Ekman that Leitman was based on. I'd recommend it to anyone. Four Rooms is also underrated. His performance in Rob Roy was Oscar worthy.

"The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover", without words, he sells it so well.

Love Tim Roth.. But out of EVERYTHING he's done my favorite performance of his was in ROB ROY he was absolutely brilliant!!!

Man's a legend. Also, the Rob Roy duel is still one of the best swordfights put to film.

Tim is such a great and wildly underrated actor, it's funny how many of the film projects he's done that you can describe the same way. Always excited when I see him pop up in something!

They were both great, although Richard Dreyfuss nearly upstaged both of them in that movie.

Alan Clarke, Mike Leigh, Stephen Frears, Agnieszka Holland, Peter Greenway, Robert Altman, Quentin Tarantino, Woody Allen, Giuseppe Tornatore, Werner Herzog, Wim Wenders, Francis Ford Coppola, Michael Haneke, David Lynch these are some of the amazing directors Tim Roth has worked with in his career. He is truly a gift to cinema.

always been a fan of Roth, since "Made in Britain"... met him a couple years later (1986) in a pub in Camberwell, I actually spilt his drink accidentally and bought him another, and he was so polite and gracious... very nice guy

purple headed hedgehog Entire movie always felt like filmed theater to me, with the stage-like ramp, echoing rooms the size of a theater stage (even the bathroom), dominance of indoor dialog scenes etc. Whole thing could've been done as a live theater performance with minimal changes and only basic stage and light management.

Great actor and a great guy. His directorial effort 'The War Zone' is hauntingly powerful and he's hilarious in 'Four Rooms'.

Always loved Tim Roth. Especially how he acted in "Lie to me".

I love this interview. I have rewatched it several times.

Hoodlum was majestic IMO. Also his performance in Deceiver was a one of a kind. One of my favorite actors for sure.

Lie To Me is one of my all time favorite shows and I respect Tim a lot for that role

What a great video. Tim Roth is one of my favourite actors, I enjoyed a lot of his movies (especially "Four Rooms" and of course "Lie to me"!) Great man and a very down to earth guy , I hope to see more of him.

I was so glad to see Made in Britain included in this. I remember seeing that movie and it having a real impact on me, his performance was flawless. Tim Roth is a treasure! Thanks for including him in this series.

The Hit is such a great movie. Great acting by Roth and Hurt. Amazing soundtrack by Clapton and Paco de Lucia

I love Tim Roth. He's such a sweet, kind soul. He is extremely talented at acting. I am always impressed when he does a different accent. Some actors do a different accent for one of two films and Tim has done SO many. I love Reservoir Dogs so much. Freddy is a cutie. He's so good in Rob Roy. Amazing performance. I saw Selma a few weeks ago and he did great. His accent is so good. I'm trying to watch his entire filmography. I'm only on 50 films. About halfway there.

The Legend of 1900 was amazing. I wished they had talked about it.

The best thing about Tim Roth is that every time I see one of his performances I look up who played that part. Such a good actor that I see his character and not him like so many other actors. Plus Four Rooms was awesome and a missed opportunity here.

Lie to me was such an amazing show! It should totally come back!

The only other films not mentioned with him in it that I loved was Gridlock'd and Murder in the Heartland that was brilliant

Discovered him with The Legend of 1900. Majestic film where he delivered some of the best performances I've ever seen. I want to look further into his works.

Would’ve loved to hear his take on Bodies Rest & Motion. Loved him in that. Brilliant cinema.

"Elvis ragdoll" That just sums up David Lynch as a director, to me. It's hilarious and sounds silly, but you know exactly what he means. Made me laugh out loud. Up there with "Can I get a bisquick?"

Very happy he went over Archibald Cunningham in Rob Roy. Definitely one of his greatest performances in an extremely underrated film.

Loved him in ..little Odessa Great actor .

Disappointed that Gridlock’d wasn’t discussed here - that is a really good black comedy and Roth stars alongside Tupac Shakur who’s gone on to achieve legendary status since his untimely death so it would’ve been interesting to hear Roth’s experiences working with Tupac.
