Doyle is, was and will always be the man. He's the personification of a gentleman at the table, taking wins and losses in stride, without tantrums. We are so lucky to have witnessed this longevity in poker that we will probably never see again.

When Doyle Brunson folded Broadway, I think it was because he caught the way Jason Koon took a look at him. Doyle is the last of the original Texas Holdem players who relayed on the psychological side of the game, as opposed to all the math nerds who play now. Don't forget, Doyle is the only big man still around who has literary played poker in situations where it was sometimes a life and death situation. And while I myself utilize math in my game, which is easy to master, let me say this for the record: Even if you have a 95% chance of winning, when you do lose that one out of twenty hands, the loss you take is a 100% fact... In other words, you cannot simply be a calculating nerdball, and without reading abilities, and be a prolific champion. In closing, I would like to paraphrase what Doyle Brunson once said about Tom Dwan when asked his opinion of him. Doyle essentially said "I don't know, he hasn't been around long enough, ask me in twenty years. Doyle is 👍 THE G.O.A T. and I was fortunate enough to meet him once at the Bicycle Club Casino when I lived in Downey, California. The greatest ambassador of poker ever is Mr. Doyle Brunson, Amen 🙏

Nothing but Respect voor deze man... A real OG in de game. But to be real honest, i think he's a better Highstakes Cashgame player, just like his Son. In a cash game you can fold way more time's for free, and that's exactly were this man is a master in, his son fold's even more, and only play's w/ serious big hands AK,AA,KQ,KK,KA cards like this. And those are the most danger CashGame player's! But not only in Cashgames helps folding alot for building a Table Status, but if you wanna place in the final table or in the money, you also need to fold alot!, especially in the begining, But since you folded alot, they think when you bet or raises you automatically have a big hand, even you got a small hand, you will get the pot, 9 out of 10 times. And that's why this man is The Man of Poker, Pointblank. Hope this man will play till deep in his 90's... Can watch this man the whole day, and learn from the best onne who ever did it! (Facts)

I think he just was tired. He said in an interview his body could not take this even any longer. Props for showing up and giving it a go. He is 88, I'm 49 and can't sit at a table that long. Legend.
